A lead off walk, 2 errors, getting behind in the count usually doesn't lead to good things. If I was Mattheny I would challenge everything since they opened Pandora's box.

Wainwright may settle in and not give them anything else, but those first two innings were a breeze for Lester. Need to wake the bats!

Wainwright having a rough night so far.

Dp Davey. Had to have something there. Oh well.

Every run the RedSox scored came after the Cardinals committed errors on what should have been inning ending outs or double plays. Cards D killed them tonight. Hand it to the RedSox though. They capitalized. Much like the Cards did against the Dodgers in Game 6.

This would be a good time for Wacha's no-hitter.

The baseball gods definitely owe him one..

Cards have been bailed out by some great pitching in these playoffs. Overall, their bats are struggling cause teams are making them swing at balls. Last night every batter that was patient, got walked or at least had a productive high pitch count at bat. Those were very few though. Cards need to stop swinging at first pitches.

"MLB says it 'cannot draw any conclusions' on Jon Lester using foreign substance in glove'

I can. Looking at the video, it is obvious Lester is wiping something off his glove onto his fingers before the pitch. Its a shame that people can't even play a game without cheating.

This just in... Redsox cheating.

Freeze is beginning to look like an automatic out.

Damn. Ortiz is clutch.

Now that is Cardinal baseball.

Cards win! Had to beat the Red Sox eventually.

Maybe there will be a sixth game after all.

Uh, the whole bottom half of the lineup for that matter. Freese is reverting back to bad habits. However, his great at bat in the 7th got it all going.
