One year ago today I walked in to Busch. Cards went up 6-1 before losing to the Mets. We were behind the Braves. Six games left and every single person in the stadium thought the season was over. We won 4 of 6.

I remember that game. That sucked.

Huge win today; Waino blew the lead in the 6th, bullpen gives us a chance and Beltran rewarded then with a homer in the top of the 9th that all but sent ur to extras. Big two out hit by Jay on the 10th and Motte shut the door.

Brewers already lost and Dodgers trailing Reds

Our grandchildren will be breaking down last season, and will hardly believe that it actually happened.

Last I saw Brew Crew losing 9-1 in the 6th.

Didn't realize they played today. Lost 12-2. 04-rock

Dodgers beat the Reds.
Nothing like watching Tony get in Dusty's head.
Them were the good ol' days. Except for Cueto.

RE: ***Official St. Louis Cardinals Thread*** - georgiatiger - 09-25-2012 11:50 PM

So, who do we pitch?

RE: ***Official St. Louis Cardinals Thread*** - TiggerFan - 09-26-2012 11:50 AM

Brewers have 8 games left. 2 at Reds, host Astros for 3, host Padres for 3.
Dodgers have 8 games left. 2 at Padres, host Rockies for 3, host Giants for 3.
Cards have 7 games left. Astros tonight, host the Nats for 3, host the Reds for 3.
This is going to be fun.
Jaime on the road--whew!!!

La Russa Wouldn't Have Given Pujols 10-Year Deal

So at this point we have to lose at least 4 and either the Brewers or Dodgers have to win at least 4. Correct?

Sounds correct.

Assuming we will get the last spot, who the hell would we start?

If Matheny doesn't mess with the current rotation and if my number is right then Waino and or Loshe would be available for the wild card game

It's gonna be tough to hold off the Dodgers. We've got he Nats and Reds @ home. They've got the Rockies and Giants @ home. I'm trying to figure out a way to catch a game in St. Louis.

Arrive Chicago 9:00 AM Wednesday.
Depart Chicago 1:45 PM Wednesday.

Will I be the only person who is a bit satisfied if the Cardinals make the playoffs and the Angels don't?

Or how's about Angel fans pushing Mike Trout for MVP?

Would love nothing more than a Cards sweep of the Nats. Would possibly mean they would be playing them in the playoff rather than the Braves.

RE: ***Official St. Louis Cardinals Thread*** - UMTiger02 - 09-28-2012 01:52 PM

As a Braves fan I would be absolutely ecstatic if the Cards would sweep a series against the Nats. For the next 3 days.......Go Cards!
