I never blame the refs for a loss but unless I just am off did anyone else other then a ECU or USM fan feel that ECU got the shaft today by the officials?

Was a horribly lopsided game by the officials despite it being so physical. The difference was free throws. USM did very little in their halfcourt offense.

Huge FT disparity, CUSA obviously told the Refs USM must win to keep this a 2 bid league. Look for USM to get a lot of blatant referee help tomorrow too. Tough luck for whoever has to face USM.

We banged inside, ECU shot outside. I have never watched a game where the foul distribution was "equal" when it is played this way.

I wouldn't necessarily say that (although I'm not disputing that). As someone else said, ECU primarily plays outside and USM primarily plays inside. In that type of matchup, the foul calls are typically one-sided in favor of the "inside" team.
Oh...but there is a separate thread on MT.org about ECU getting shafted...FWIW.

Not disputing the fact that USM didn't have as many fouls called against them(Which seems to be your argument) My issue was the amount of fouls called on ECU that were not fouls. That last one they called on Kemp was flat out cheating.

We got shafted plain and simple. Morrow with 4 fouls just 4 minutes into the 2nd half? Double T called? Kemp gets all ball with a clean view and gets his 5th? Come one now!
