2-0 - Rocket A - 03-05-2012 09:05 PM

MAC WEST 2 MAC EAST 0

Thanks for playing BUGS & MU!!!

The MAC West guaranteed themselves 2 teams in the quarter finals tonight. I don't think anyone would have predicted that.

And in intra-west squabbles, congrats to NIU for upsetting the mighty EMUs.

The Broncos just took down BSU.

Nice wins for Toledo and CMU. See you in Cleveland.

I wouldn't call CMU's win "nice". They had like 9 travel calls and gave BG every opportunity to take the lead (especially in the last few minutes)

Lucky for them, we have coach Orr and the world's most inconsistent basketball team. yaaay

From the perspective of a fan of a West team, when East teams fall to us, it is "nice." We take enough grief for being in the worst division so throw us a bone once in a while.

Besides, I think WMU might have grabbed the trademark for "the world's most inconsistent basketball team."

A nine turnover game in college is pretty darn nice.

That would be a typo, my mistake.

I meant to type "travel", I'm sure the actual turnovers were much higher. They did have an unusually large amount of travel calls.

Give your team a break, they consistently failed to hold a lead in MAC play this year! I honestly thought that was going to happen to them tonight. I think Ball State would take the inconsistent award for the year.

Who'd of thought CMU and WMU would still be playing, possibly both past Wed! Weren't you hoping for another crack at EMU though?

12 total- not too bad.

Not sure what another shot at EMU would have shown, given that our coach hasn't understood anything about a zone in 50 years, I doubt it was going to come to him in the next 48 hours.

BSU was not inconsistent. They were bad. They beat up on a cupcake schedule and then played like poop in-conference.
