Good place to eat before the game in Kent - Pulltown Falcon - 02-28-2012 12:36 PM So where is a good place to eat in Kent before the women's game tonight? And NO - Taco Tonto's is not what I am looking for (might be a spot for on the way out of town though). What are "THE" places to eat in Kent? RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - JSF - 02-28-2012 12:55 PM I'm still bitter the Friendly's closed. RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - AlphaFlash - 02-28-2012 01:25 PM Mike's Place or Ray's Place. Both very college-culture oriented. RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - Lambert58 - 02-28-2012 05:39 PM Cajun Daves has great food. It is located inside of the Water Street Tavern. WST has a lot of cool KSU sports memorabilia. RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - Kent 76 - 02-28-2012 06:23 PM I miss Jerry's Diner. Sometimes they'd have the special where you got a free angioplasty after the hash browns. RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - JSF - 02-29-2012 12:40 AM I think Kent was the first place I had Chipotle. I had no idea what to do when I went. RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - JSF - 02-29-2012 11:34 AM (laughing) Ha, no. I might still have been in high school. Anyone know when that Chipotle opened? RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - kyflash - 02-29-2012 11:39 AM Definitely Ray's or Water Street Tavern if you want any sense of a college town pre-game vibe. Mike's Place is great for breakfast, but sucks for everything else. RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - ilovegymnast - 02-29-2012 03:00 PM Chipotle opened sometime around 2005-2006. I know it opened while I was at one of tech schools I attended for the AF. I came back home and that was the place to go. RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - JSF - 02-29-2012 06:58 PM I must be thinking of some other restaurant, then. Earlier than that Chipotle was here when I first came to Kent in the Fall of 2002 and it was well known by then so it must have been there before that time as well. RE: Good place to eat before the game in Kent - JSF - 02-29-2012 08:51 PM OK, so yeah, it probably was. My head hurts. |
