UAB Football Camps Around the State - hooverblazer - 02-23-2012 02:13 PM http://www.uabfootballcamps.com/football-camps-at-uab.cfm Camps will be at UAB, Madison, Dothan, and Daphne. RE: UAB Football Camps Around the State - the_blazerman - 02-23-2012 02:31 PM I saw that. Have we had camps in those other areas before? I think it was Birmingham,Dothan, and two other places last year( Mobile and Montgomery). Thats how we got those early commits last year. RE: UAB Football Camps Around the State - hooverblazer - 02-23-2012 02:40 PM I don't think we've done one in north Alabama before so going to Madison will be good for us. Yes, Madison,Birmingham,Montgomery, and Mobile/Daphne or Dothan is the way I would go. RE: UAB Football Camps Around the State - BAMANBLAZERFAN - 02-23-2012 03:20 PM I would suggest one in Prattville as one near Montgomery added to the "4 corners" camps already announced. RE: UAB Football Camps Around the State - Blaze4Pres - 02-23-2012 03:23 PM Madison would be a good location to get the S-boro, Fort Payne, and Huntsville area recruits. In the future, Gadsden High has a great turf playing surface that would be easy for northeastern Alabama kids to attend. RE: UAB Football Camps Around the State - Uncle BLAZER - 02-23-2012 03:24 PM I say they do one in Tuscaloser just to F with everybody. It could be THE University of Alabama at Birmingham Football Camp in Tuscaloosa. Why not? My goodness, if that OCS had been approved, the flood gates would have been opened wide with prospects! Just the same, this is a brilliant move, just brilliant. Not sure how much hs school talent is there but to have a UAB camp at Bryant-Denny would be epic. Since we are "sisters" and all, See if the BOT will let us do it at B-D. **You beat me to it Big Dee. Never gonna happen. That kind of progressive thinking is by the UABOT. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, "Uncle", but anything in their little minds down there that is good for UAB athletics, especially football, is a bad idea where they're concerned (I believe they like to use the term "not in the best interest of the UA system or the state"), & you're right "Big Dee", that would be an epic..an epic confrontation. "Junior" & "Last Toilet" will have that camp "droned" before that is allowed that to happen. You don't think they would let us have a UAB football camp in Bryant-Denny?! Why not? Are we not all one big family? I was just being a smarta$$. I know they wouldn't allow that. F 'em anyway. Which parts of the state, if I may ask, did these camps take place? RE: UAB Football Camps Around the State - USAFBlazerFan - 02-23-2012 04:05 PM Madison is a GREAT place to have it... Good talent up in North Alabama to include Athens, Hartselle and Decatur. Hartselle did win state this year.
