A bigger Moron than Max Power & Robert N - WoodlandsOwl - 02-22-2012 05:51 PM I thought those two guys took the cake.. until now.. I hope Mr. Jihadi enjoys 5 years at the Supermax and his permanent membership on the No Fly List E-cigarette smoker faces federal charge after delaying Houston flight An airline passenger flying on a Houston-bound plane is facing a federal charge in Oregon, after first refusing to turn off an electronic cigarette then threatening other passengers and the crew. Yazeed Mohammed A. Abunayyan is charged for interfering with a flight crew on a plane from Portland International Airport heading to Houston that reversed its course Tuesday because of the incident, according to an indictment from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the district of Oregon. The court document said the incident began when a flight attendant asked Abunayyan to stop smoking an electronic cigarette. He refused to stop or hand over the device. He then began yelling profanities and swinging his fist at the flight attendant and hitting or attempting to hit several passengers, the document states. He then began speaking or singing about Osama bin Laden and his hatred of women, the document said. His outburst caused the flight attendant to deviate from safety protocols by unbuckling her restraints and leaving her seat during takeoff, causing the flight to alter its route and return to its origin, the documents state. The FBI questioned the suspect once the Continental plane returned to Portland. The suspect is scheduled to make an initial appearance in U.S. Magistrate Court in Oregon on Wednesday, according to Gerri Badden, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office. E-cigarettes, which heat a liquid nicotine solution, are not specifically prohibited by the Transportation Safety Administration – like tobacco cigarettes – on commercial planes. However they are banned by Continental Airlines. http://blog.chron.com/newswatch/2012/02/e-cigarette-smoker-faces-federal-after-delaying-houston-flight/ RE: A bigger Moron than Max Power & Robert N - T-Monay820 - 02-22-2012 05:57 PM I hope the other passengers ****** him up before he got off. First you delay my flight? Then you start swinging? From the video, it sounds like American's are getting sick of this kind of BS behavior on planes. RE: A bigger Moron than Max Power & Robert N - DrTorch - 02-23-2012 07:54 AM Is nobody displeased that they demanded he turn off an e-cigarette? What's the point of that? RE: A bigger Moron than Max Power & Robert N - Lord Stanley - 02-23-2012 08:35 AM Now, give Max some credit. He responds with (his) facts and engages in discussion, no matter how much conversations with Max are like driving down a one-way road named after....... Max RobertN, eh..... he sort of fvvcks it up for everyone else and frankly it's sort of embarrassing. RE: A bigger Moron than Max Power & Robert N - Motown Bronco - 02-23-2012 08:35 AM A little golden nugget at the end of the article: Quote:Documents from the Jackson County jail in Oregon show that Abunayyan was in custody a day before the flight. He was booked for driving under the influence, criminal mischief, hit and run, attempting to elude police, assaulting a police officer and reckless endangering after a low-speed car chase in Ashland, Ore., over the weekend. He posted $6,000 bail and was released Monday. That guy's had quite a week. Couldn't help notice from the grainy video that it looked as if he was smiling and pleased with himself as he was escorted off the plane. This dooche will be perpetually hauled to/from jail for the rest of his life. He's off the charts with anger issues. He apparently was trying to flee back to Saudi Arabia. What's the point of that? It is stupid and pointless. But if that is a big deal to you, you should know the airline's policies beforehand. I NEVER check bags. I ALWAYS use carry on only. So I am very picky about carry on policies of the airlines I select. I'm not one of those pricks putting a full overnight bag up into the overhead, but my duffle bag when jammed full is a few inches over maximum width, but still within the total overall max dimensions. So I only fly on airlines where they are explicitly lax on enforcing carry on size. All airlines have virtually identical carry on sizes, because they originate from the plane's overhead capacity relative to passengers. RE: A bigger Moron than Max Power & Robert N - WoodlandsOwl - 02-23-2012 10:12 PM Haji Jihadi was pissed off about his arrest less than 24 hours earlier and was making a run for the border. The female Flight Attendant just set him off. "What is this infidel harlot telling me to put out my cigarette?" Enjoy your time in Supermax, Haji... Allah Akbar!
