I know many on here are very critical of Whitworth though he is one of the best tackles in the NFL (though he is a better pass blocker than a run blocker). Anyways here are some of the numbers from profootballfocus.com

While you can look at Dahl’s 200 pass blocks and think the sample size skews the data, you can’t say the same thing about the men that follow him. Joe Thomas is widely regarded as the finest tackle of his generation and finishes second, just ahead of Andrew Whitworth who gave up one less pressure, but was in pass protection at tackle for 72 fewer snaps. Neither man covered themselves in glory in the run game, but a franchise left tackle first and foremost should keep their quarterback upright, and you can’t deny that either man excelled in that regard.

Although his second half wasn't as good as his outstanding first of the season last year (PFF.com noted this btw), he's earned any benefit of the doubt so I'm very confident in him for the next few years. PFF also noted huge improvement from Andre Smith (granted that's not saying a lot) so I say re-sign Collins to back up both of them and don't put any more significant resources into the T position this year (unless the Bengals think one of them could/should play guard).
Speaking of guard, that is one position I would put some significant resources into this year. Perhaps the best thing the Bengals could do for this offense next year is shore up the interior OL. I'd love to see the Bengals make a play for Carl Nicks (as far-fetched as it sounds I have a feeling the Bengals will sign a big time free agent this year; they have the money and MB has no excuses). Even if they got Nicks, I'd probably also grab DeCastro or Cordy Glenn with one of our R1 picks. DeCastro is probably a little bit better, but Glenn would give them the opportunity to compare himself, Smith and maybe Collins head to head to decide who would make the better G or T.

I agree with this assessment. I think the Bengals are fairly strong at tackle, but very below average at guard/center. I'm fine sticking with Cook, because i like having the center stay consistent (unless you find a significantly better option), but the Bengals need to address guard.
I'd like to the Bengals upgrade at safety, cornerback, guard, running back, wide receiver and middle linebacker.
