And only one conference title since joining the A-Sun, and none since 2007.

And Warren is one of the top 10 paid golf coaches in the NCAA. With a contract that extends through 2017.

I have to agree with Pitt on Warren's contract. As I posted previously he does have some very influential and wealthy friends in the area, but the administration needs to develop the gonadal mass to get his contract under control. I will say, though, that even with its short-comings the ASun is a better golf conference than the SoCon, largely based on the Florida schools. I suppose it's mostly a product of climate and facilities. If any of you are golfers and happen to be in the Jacksonville area stop by the UNF Golfplex and you'll see what I mean.

Can you prove that? I don't know golf salaries, but I'd doubt Warren is in the top 10. Sure, he gets way more money than any ASun golf coach should ever make, but that's not the statement you made. I personally find it hard to believe.

Actually he probably is close to the Top 10. in 2007 he made a bit over 100k according to this.

You will also note according to the above he had only gotten cost of living raises.

according to this link updated in 2009 that would have put him 3rd in the ACC, 2nd in the Big Ten,
4th in the SEC 1st in the PAC 10 and 2nd in the Big 12. Browsing down the list of the Top 100 programs that
year he would have been 9th. (remember the info on Warren is 2 years older and he was trying to get a new contract)

Couldn't kind any information more recent but he is probably still in the same ballpark.
So personally I find it very easy to believe.
