Some changes on the horizen - ClairtonPanther - 01-01-2012 03:59 PM

We'll be getting a skin in the near future for the board.

Also any suggestions on what we can name the board instead of just generic Pitt?

I'll suggest "Cardiac Hill"

How about "Filled Yellow Seats."

Cardiac Hill is already taken. http://www.cardiachill.com is an SBNation site, IIRC.

So is The Incline.

And Joey's Spot.: )

I think something with "yinzer" in the title would be appropriate. /NOT sarcasm.

I am certainly not a yinzer by any stretch of the imagination as the term we all know and love, but since moving away ~10 years ago I freely, and PROUDLY, identify myself as a yinzer.

Just my $0.02. Don't hate the player, hate the game.: )

I absolutely hate homer ass yinzers... 03-wink

Partly the reason why I don't post on the free boards over at the Lair and Digest.

But what about "Yinzer Playground" or something of that nature?

I just had a thought which could help us out in attracting new members (although I'm unsure).

What would could do is call the board Pitt Script. I know that this sounds a little bit lame, however, hear out the reasoning behind it and maybe we can put our heads together and see if this will work.

By my estimation, for Pitt fans, Pitt Script or Script Pitt is probably one of the major searches put into Google. I know I type it in quite a bit to find pictures of the old school uniforms or what not. If this board within NCAABBS has its own organic ranking on Google perhaps it will work its way up the ladder to where people looking for pictures and things will see it and click on it. This way we may be able to attract new members to the site.

Another thing I like about it is that it serves as a dual meaning. For one, we all know that was our old logo. Secondly, Pitt Script would be synonymous with Pitt Writing which is exactly what we do here.

I know of no other site that uses the name.
