Media trashing SU - CuSeToWn003 - 09-23-2011 04:54 PM

Im not sure how many of us reads articles daily, but since su's withdrawl from the BE, we have constantly been thrown under the bus. constant articles ranging from: ACC is being turned into a BB conference, Su brings nothing to the table, Su has no football tradition since Jim Brown, but not 1 article uses Definitive truths and facts. all the above mentioned articles uses biased information that is used to justify their point. my thing is as a sports fan in general(not counting being an SU fan), if i were to write an article, it would be to stir debate but not infuriate the reader. Ex, We all know syracuses struggles since the turn of the century so why keep writing about the same moot point. - why not write about them trying to turn the corner and become relevant again. why not use all relevant facts? i have no problem with journalists trashing my fav team, or any other team. i do have a problem with someone trashing a team using biased information. for instance, if the article is about su or another BE teams record against the ACC: couldnt the above writer note their overall record against bcs opponents. shouldnt thier bowl record or all time wins matter? shouldt individual players achievements be used to soften the way fans view of said team? all im saying is no matter how bad they have been recently, their are plenty good things to mention. no one can truly prove 1 is better than the other, even if head to head results are used. an ACC team couldve rocked a BE bottom feeder team, using the timeframe in question. alot of leagues are top heavy of bottom heavy conferences. i read today that an espn analyst, thinks the Big12 is the best conference? when i read that, i immediately knew biased facts were used. why? only kansas has one it all for their conference. while the ACC & BE ruled CBB(counting UF winning 2 NC's)for the last 20 years. espn is doing everything in their power, to make their writers, and the public look dow on the BE. i harass these BS analysts everyday on twitter.its time for biased writing and reporting to end. only we as fans can change this. dont heckle everything they write, try to spot biased errors. Biased errors, are hard to explain but easy to spot: @espnlunardi wrote, "su hasnt been relevant since Jim Brown"! totally biased and totally untrue. did he forget '87 undefeated season, or ohio st losing to us a few years later, etc...
1 - when you a read an article, see who gets the credit for the article. you'll be amazed, most say associated press.
2 - when you read an article with same subject on another website(notice same info, watch how much of the info is recycled information.
*How many journalist can break the same story from last week?
*espn is excercising total control of all material and employees work
*How many articles from(Professionals)were truly CREATIVE?

I voted that ESPN writers are puppets. I don't know that ESPN controls everything that they do, however, they're certainly not creative so there was no reason to vote for choice #1.

The more that time goes by, the more that ESPN is starting to look bad in this whole thing.
