No I do not foresee a split, but if there was "C-USA" wouldn't take Jacksonville and South Alabama and the "Southwest" wouldn't take La Tech and North Texas so I especially don't foresee that scenario.

Absolutley. the Top portion will merge with the MAC & the bottom half will merge with the Sun Belt to form super duper confs.

And as to the original question, when we can also add UTSA, Texas State, Lamar and ULaLA and get AQ status and a Big 10 sized TV contract out of it, it will happen.

Sorry, but NC BBQ was rated #4 behind #1 Memphis, #2 Texas, and #3 Kansas City on the BBQ show I watched on the Travel Channel last week.

What's the prediction for the number of DK expansion/alignment posts for this summer? Is there a pool?
My guess 87.
BTW - The new Southwest would never have North Texas. There is a secret agreement made between the Masons, Trilateral Commission, Sons of Herman, Illuminati, the Vatican, Skull and Bones and the Board of Dunkin Donuts that forbids SMU from ever sharing a conference with North Texas. I shudder to think of the consequences if this was ever broken.
