So I'm at the Jonesborough Days parade today and here comes the BASA float. Quite a few ETSU players, athletic administrators, and cheerleaders are representing the school. As they come by where we were sitting, someone from across the street shouts over the crowd, "where's the football team!" Everyone clearly heard this including all the ETSU folks who got quiet for a minute, then resumed what they were doing. And that's not to say there weren't others along the parade route who did the same thing.
This yet again proves that football has been a public relations nightmare for them. When a person is so angry they're not afraid to call an entire group of people out in front of hundreds of other folks, that says a LOT. Returning football would be the one best PR move ETSU could make for the department. Hopefully they'll all see that.

Now Fan1 that isn't true. ETSU is just setting the trend, FCS football is going down the drain, and we're not the only school that's dropping football in Tennessee and at the FCS level. There will be several more coming soon! Poor Austin Peay and their idealist ways of adding scholarships to football...
