Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson has lost his mind - WoodlandsOwl - 10-30-2008 08:00 PM Can you imagine the "rain of beer" had he pulled this stunt in the north endzone of Reliant in front of the "Bullpen"? If the Commish fined Joe Horn $30,000 for the cell phone stunt, this would have warranted at least 50K plus a suspension. According to Pro Football Talk, Chad Johnson had plans this past Sunday, had he scored a touchdown, to waive a Barack Obama banner that he had hidden in the endzone in Reliant Stadium. Thankfully for the Obama campaign, not every Obama message requires a Chad Johnson touchdown before being displayed. If that were the case, Obama would be looking at Bob Barr-like poll numbers. But Ocho Cinco, as has been his custom this year, ended up not getting in the endzone, as the Bengals were pounded 35-6 by the Texans. It's probably just as well, as Texas is a Republican stronghold, and I don't know if Chad's actions there would've made a dent. Someone might have made a dent in him, though, as unfurling an Obama banner might've caused a few objects to be hurled at Chad's face. And back in Ohio, I don't know if Chad carries the kind of credibility that Obama's looking for in his endorsers. Perhaps if the Bengals weren't 0-8 and Chad weren't 39th in the league in receiving yards, things would be different. But I don't know if there's anyone in Ohio with a lower approval rating than Chad Johnson right now. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Barack-Obama-may-not-have-approved-this-message?urn=nfl,118194 RE: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson has lost his mind - Rebel - 10-30-2008 09:43 PM That ought'ta pull in a few Brown fans. RE: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson has lost his mind - West Is the Best - 10-30-2008 11:55 PM Does "8-5" even realize that his new name does not mean "85"? He couldn't pronounce ochenta y cinco. RE: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson has lost his mind - BlazerFan11 - 10-31-2008 08:35 AM Too bad he didn't score. I would have thoroughly enjoyed seeing him get pelted in the grill with a beer can. RE: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson has lost his mind - smn1256 - 10-31-2008 08:54 AM Just goes to show you that the nut cases are the ones pulling for Obama. I think it's funny that he changed his name and the league won't let him put in on his jersey. He's a loser. Actually, he is allowed, but he would have to buy all the stock of his jerseys that say "Johnson" on the back if he wanted to do it this season. Part of the collective bargaining agreement. Next year it will say Ocho Cinco on his back. On a side note, a lot of the time he calls himself 8-5 instead of eighty-five... so maybe he wanted it that way?!? RE: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson has lost his mind - firmbizzle - 10-31-2008 11:23 AM That would have been hillarious! He might do it there, considering Ohio is in play. But it might not go well with the home crowd. |
