Hey Huskie fans, I am a 1997 WIU grad and a Leatherneck fan. I am looking forward to taking in some college football fun at your great stadium in September. Never been to a game up at DeKalb before.

Welcome to the board and feel free to start a thread or add to an existing one. If you have any questions on places to go, where to park, etc. for the game in September go ahead and ask away.

2. Dolphins
3. Red Sox
4. Cubs
5. Wolves
6. Cougars
7. Springfield Falcons (AHL)

Thank you for inviting to join the forum. It brings me pleasure to read the comments (good, bad, and ugly) associated with NIU athletics.

Relative to my background, I am a basketball and football official, proud NIU season ticket holder, HASF donor, and a 2005 MBA graduate of NIU.

Go Huskies!

i guess i should post here

I am a long time NIU fan, a proud STS-9er, and 85 graduate in History/Math/and Theatre Education....Got to see NIU sports when they were tearing down the posts at huskie stadium back in 83 and got to see Huskie Basketball back when Dillon, Battle, Reyhorn and the lot challenge for the MAC title every year. I moved to Texas about the same time NIU moved from the MAC and only began to reconnect when they returned to the MAc and began to get on ESPN where I could follow them from here. I teach High school theatre but I still have my McCabes growler bucket, my cafeteria tray from the dorms that we stole to go sledding in that winter of 83, and my huskie banner flying high in my Man Cave above my garage. Some day i will gt to meet you all but until then Ill be enjoying the texas weather, the winter golf (yes i have huskie head covers...please) and following closely on espn and the net.

RE: Introduce Yourself Here - filmmaker - 11-26-2009 02:55 AM

Hey all:

I've posted for a while but never "signed in". I'm Scott from Chicago, I got my B.S. from NIU in '92 and my J.D. in '95. I'm now a filmmaker living in Bucktown/Chicago. I'm a huge college sports fan and NIU is my one and only team. ... GO HUSKIES!

Side note, I was sitting on the 50 yard line when we took out Alabama, good stuff.

Happy Turkey Day!

Well, I guess I should post here now. I already got a warm welcoming from HMM. :)

I had an account a while ago but I forgot the password, and I didn't post. So now I am becoming active! I'm a junior in high school and have been going to NIU events since 2005. I love tailgating at Huskie games, they're what I look forward to every week during football season. I'm focusing on trying to get accepted to NIU presently. I think we should get along pretty well around here guys.

RE: Introduce Yourself Here - Sand Expert - 12-29-2009 12:09 AM

Hello, I am a sand expert invited to participate by my hoards of fans who sent me notes wishing I was here. If that is too much for the head fella who converted his NIU degree into a clerical job at Allstate while spending his spare time collecting rolling junk, then so be it.

I've been a member since feburary but never officially introduced myself. I am a senior at NIU. I will be graduating this spring with a BA in Psychology. I've been a huskie fan since high school. I try to go as many huskie sporting events as I can, even baseball. After I graduate I do plan to continue to go to football games and some basketball games and possibly be a HASF member, if I can land a full-time job.
