OT: Big Brown - TMcCarty - 06-07-2008 06:10 PM

Tanked it today. Just got absolutely destroyed and the jockey pulled him up late in the race. He was a 1:4 favorite with the next best odds being 7:1. The horse that won took it wire to wire with odds of 30-something to 1. It's a shame, I watch all three races of the Triple Crown every year and I thought this would finally be the year that a horse won it, especially after Casino Drive was scratched.

It was 38:1 odds. I hate it for him. It looked like he was hurting a little and couldn't push through it.

Nope. I heard them say that breeding rights have already been sold for 50 million dollars. That is some heavy duty pimping.

Today was the first race I had watched in several years. The biggest change I found interesting that horses no longer have owners and trainers. They are referred to as the horses "connections". PETA must be so proud. 03-lmfao

I remember Secretariat, Seattle Slew. I also found it interesting when they said that Secretariat retired after winning 21 races. Had Big Brown won today, they would have possibly retired him after 6 races.

Lil Brown stunk as badly as our Brown did.

I am not even a horse racing fan. But I found myself glued to the screen for a couple hours today waiting on the race to start. Two hours... for a two minute race that ended like it did. I am never going to do that again. (at least not until the next horse goes for the triple crown.)

Only if he was talking about Big Brown. Who in the hell is Lil Brown and is he related to Lil Kim?

I thought it was from trying to play "prevent" for the entire second half.
