Deng and Ebi are Coach K's primary targets now for 2003 recruiting.

Do you think that Coach K will land one, both, or none?

IMO, he only gets one of the two.

- Harry Potter - 08-16-2002 11:01 AM

they won't come here because coach k has already stacked the talent

- hoops13 - 08-16-2002 12:55 PM

Good point Harry.

I just don't see how Coach K can possibly keep all 10-12 McDonald's All-Americans happy, get them playing time, and create team chemistry.

Why not go to a school like Arizona, where you could be the "MAIN MAN", also play with very very good players, under a Hall-of-Fame coach, at a basketball powerhouse, and vie for the national championship every year??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="confused.gif" />

I think it's the whole ACC tradition. I think a lot of players would love to play for Duke, UNC, Maryland, etc. and not be THE man to play with that particular team. No other conference has that glow about it like the ACC does.

Jimmy V, Thomspon, Jordon, Dean Smith, Everette Case, Laettner, Hurley, Hill, Krzyzewski, Bias. we have the best tradition

and we have been the National Champions the last two years.

viva the ACC!!!

- TheHumanBullet - 08-17-2002 06:11 PM

some guys would join some of the lesser teams in the ACC just to play against the upper crust teams. How do you think Maryland got good in the first place?

- DamascusTerp2 - 08-17-2002 06:58 PM

Mullet...Maryland has plenty of history...READ SOME before you make comments like that

- Guest - 08-17-2002 07:01 PM

I mentioned Bias!

- hoops13 - 09-10-2002 08:35 AM

Well, a lot of the top guys are gonna start committing. Here is what I am expecting:

Deng to Fairfield
Ebi to Texas

OR

Deng to Missouri
Ebi to Arizona

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

BTW, Butch to UNC. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" />

You think that Deng is going to FAIRFIELD? That sounds like a bit of a stretch, IMHO. Now I know that his brother plays there, but he can do better than that. I'm guessing missouri.

- Harry Potter - 09-10-2002 12:30 PM

duke will get one of the too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" />

Or one of the two ?

Can you say NBA, sure ya can....I knew you could,,,,,,,,,its a lovely day in the neighborhood.......thank you boys and girls.

- nate jonesacc - 09-11-2002 02:48 PM

Ebi is too smart to jump the gun with his 195 lbs frame.

Deng values his education too much, also.

We'll get Deng, Ebi is a question mark.

- hoops13 - 09-12-2002 08:21 AM

Fairfield is on the fringe of being a big time program. If they land a decent prospect watch out. I think Deng could be that reruit.

- Guest - 09-12-2002 06:04 PM

If they want to become a big time team, they have to leave the MAAC, that's definate.
