Iverson demands a trade - Terpy - 12-10-2006 02:07 AM

Where do yall think he will end up?

One of the sixers execs said he wont be playing another game for the sixers.

There are only a handful of teams that have the pieces necessary to acquire Iverson. I would like to see him end up in Minnesota with Garnett, but for whatever reason Im thinking Boston may be more likely, they have the promising young players that Philly will want to get in return.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

More Iverson

He doesnt want to go to Charlotte.

I found this excerpt quite amusing:

Quote:The Sixers, on an eight-game losing streak, are reportedly looking to close a deal soon and have made the divorce all but final: they have cleaned out Iverson's locker and removed his highlights from the pre-game highlight reel shown at home games.

So I guess they dont show the pregame highlight reel anymore. lmfao lmfao lmfao

The sixers didnt get jack **** for Iverson, Andre Miller, Joe Smith and a couple of (late) first round draft picks from Denver.

- JFlight21 - 12-19-2006 06:01 PM

JR Smith, Melo and AI?? That is one hell of a backcourt. Frontrunners in the west with the suns.

- Terpy - 12-19-2006 06:44 PM

I hope you are kidding, they still dont have much of anything up front, and that is what matters in the NBA. Also, I love Iverson but Im not sure how effective he can be as a full time point guard, sure Denver has a ton of scorers but damn who is going to set these guys up and get them the ball? As far as I can tell Earl Boykins is the only point guard in their lineup and he is much more of a score first kind of guy. The sixers got hosed, but to me this deal doesnt make a lot of sense for Denver either, I think they just hit the panic button after losing the best scorer in the league for 15 games.

Nene and Camby is good enough to win the title with the kind of backcourt they have.

- Terpy - 12-19-2006 09:05 PM

Camby is decent but come on Nene sucks. He hasnt done **** since he signed that big contract, they have been trying to trade him forever but nobody wants him. I mean Eduardo freakin Najera starts ahead of him. You know its bad when Earl Boykins is the best player off your bench. This team has no depth.

AI to the Nuggets.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm

- Terpy - 12-20-2006 04:30 PM

Its going to be weird seeing AI in a Nuggets jersey.

I think that the lineup in Denver can work; what Denver should do is play Carmelo at the four and go with a smaller lineup. However, they are no where near a good enough defensive team to be a contender, and as Terpy said, they need more depth. If Denver pushes the right buttons though, they can contend in a couple years.

I can't stand AI
