15 people who make America great - T-Monay820 - 07-01-2006 09:02 PM

If anyone has seen the recent Newsweek, they did a report on 15 people that make America great. For the most part, the people they chose was good. But the person that really caught me was Brad Pitt. This guy went and had a kid with one woman, while married to another woman.

That's not why they named him a "great person" however. You could probably look at anyone and say that they did something good for america, and something bad as well.

Brad Pitt is absolutely one of the luckiest men in America (Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie), but greatest....NOPE.

Eh, I think Tom Cruise has done better. Nicole Kidman AND Katie Holmes in their primes, with a little bit of Penelope Cruz on the side.

Of course, Ben Affleck also should get some bonus points for doing more (J-Lo and J-Garner) with less as well...

But the main reason they cited him was for taking the press to Africa. Why did he go to Africa? Not to help the poor. Prior to the baby, he had no interest in Africa.

Ok, I still think Brad Pitt's accomplishments over-shadow both of those you listed, and the Cruiser falls way down the list (none of the 3 you listed excite me). Affleck did do rather well with the Jennifers.

But this guy gives us all hope...

Well, maybe I'm just not into skank-ho.

Well, I wouldn't marry Angelina, but.....

I believe he had done some humanitarian trip to Africa since being with Jolie....
