Georgia Tech 73
Georgia 71
-- 3:41

Bosh practically by himself brought Tech back and then gave them the lead like this:

DUNK!
3 Pointer
DUNK!
STEAL!
ASSIST!

He will be very good for you guys. He's gonna suffer big time, though, when Jack gets shut down by better PGs in the ACC (Duhon, Blake, Felton, Dockery, Hodge, Todd Billet)

- georgia_tech_swagger - 11-27-2002 08:58 PM

Jack, Elder, and Lewis just PUNKED some quality point guards in Ezra Williams and Wilkins

BE VERY AFRAID ACC.

Damien Wilkins is a PG? 03-confused 03-confused

Ezra Williams is a PG? 03-confused 03-confused

BTW, Ezra Williams, PG or not, outplayed Jarrett Jack, IMO.

- georgia_tech_swagger - 11-27-2002 09:16 PM

Yes - he plays Guard and Forward.

- georgia_tech_swagger - 11-27-2002 09:17 PM

Yes Ezra is a guard ... duhhhh.

The box score is deceiving... Jack is a team player, not a shot maker. Regardless, BJ Elder outplayed Ezra Williams.

- nate jonesacc - 11-27-2002 09:18 PM

GTS, they aren't point guards.

- georgia_tech_swagger - 11-27-2002 09:22 PM

You're right... Ezra plays BOTH guard positions.

- nate jonesacc - 11-27-2002 09:25 PM

However you slice it, Rashad Wright is UGA's PG.

Jack is a mediocre PG right now, and that will probably be your downfall this season.

- georgia_tech_swagger - 11-27-2002 09:29 PM

That "mediocre" PG is #19 in the freshmen class on the draft.

<a href='http://www.nbadraft.net' target='_blank'>http://www.nbadraft.net</a>

The professional scouts beg to differ Dookie, and I do too.

- desigundah - 11-27-2002 09:32 PM

Julius Hodge is a combo guard, much like Ezra Williams.
Billet? Please. I will take Jarrett Jack's left ankle over him.
Felton?? Uhhhh
As for the veterans you named, we will see. There are no players like Steve Francis or Jason Williams who will just blow Jack away. Everyone is on Jack's level and he will hold his own vs. the Duhon's and Blake's and outplay the Dockery's and Felton's. Anyone who thinks Dockery and Felton are better PG's deserves to be fed rotten eggs for a month.

- nate jonesacc - 11-27-2002 10:35 PM

You Techies are incredible!!!!!!

GTS, where is Jarrett Jack on that list????

- nate jonesacc - 11-27-2002 10:55 PM

<a href='http://www.nbadraft.net/2002consensus.htm' target='_blank'>http://www.nbadraft.net/2002consensus.htm</a>

So... I guess Dave Telep (widely regarded as the best recruiting guru on the net), Brick Oettinger, Bob Gibbons and Clark Francis should all be fed eggs for a month?

And... may I bust out the good ole RSCI rankings for you?

<a href='http://rscihoops.com/' target='_blank'>http://rscihoops.com/</a>

desigundah, you are an idiot.

Jarrett Jack is mediocre, AT BEST.

- georgia_tech_swagger - 11-27-2002 11:45 PM

Will he still be "mediocre" when he helps the Jackets punk Duke?

- SSJT - 11-27-2002 11:46 PM

themz fightin words, boy 03-wink 03-razz

- emme3334 - 11-27-2002 11:55 PM

Jarret Jack "mediocre"? Puh-leez!! And even if he is mediocre, so what? He's got quite a team backing him up, as was proved tonight against U(sic)GA. But for a freshman, playing only his second college game, I think he did hella good, along with Chris Bosh, BJ Elder and the rest of the boys. The rest of the NCAA better watch out: the developments of this evening have proven that the ACC is gonna be a tough conference.

- gtballgirl - 11-28-2002 12:02 AM

I really tried to contain myself and not reply to this nonsense...but I had to. Jarrett Jack is awesome. He is a PASSING point guard, for the most part, unlike a lot of PG's out there today. Tonight we saw the "I can shoot when I'm needed" side of Jarrett Jack. He stepped it up and took the ball inside when he couldn't find an open man. He did what he had to do to get things done. Let us all remember HE IS A FRESHMAN! You can have a "mediocre" freshman PG when you have 9 other AWESOME and CAPABLE guys on the team. Jarrett is just part of an awesome team, and when he has had more experience in college hoops, he will be much more than what you so ignorantly call "mediocre". Frankly, I don't think you're ready for that day, because if we are what we are now with a "mediocre" PG then words can't describe what we will be with the awesome PG Jack will turn into!

- JoltinJacket - 11-28-2002 01:02 AM

Exactly. He's a true frosh in his 2nd career game against the "best team in the SEC" according to Dickie V. And, he's not a 2-guard - it's not his job to go out and score 25 a night. It's his job to help run the overall show and keep things running smoothly. I don't think he could have done better at that than he did tonight.

I could care less whether or not he's NBA material or what the Dookies think of him...when we start picking up steam during the ACC season, we'll see just how "mediocre" you guys think Jack is.

- desigundah - 11-28-2002 02:50 AM

nate jonesacc Wrote:desigundah, you are an idiot.
Lets see how some other opposing guards who are "way better" than Jack have done today.
-Todd Billet had 6 pts and 4 fouls
-Raymond Felton had 10 pts on 3-9 shooting
-Steve Blake had 13 pts 5 as. and 5 to
Impressive.
Actually I dont think you should be forced to eat rotten eggs. I think you should be TOLD you are about to eat rotten eggs then you should be taken to a dark corner and you should be shot.
