FOUR months after two torn ligaments. Good luck to him.

- T-Monay820 - 01-28-2004 02:10 PM

Thrashers need him badly right now. Best of Luck Dany!

- T-Monay820 - 01-28-2004 08:02 PM

Hey Thrasher fans, how ya'll feeling about Dany coming back?

Actually, since many on this site live in Atlanta, their may be some. Its not me and Thomas's fault our extensive knowledge includes hockey and yours doesn't. Jealous? Thought so.

- cbfranchise3 - 01-28-2004 10:18 PM

By the way, game ends in tie 1-1.

actually, you thought wrong. or maybe it was that you didn't think at all. Why would i be jealous of people who know a lot about a REALLY BORING "sport."

More exciting, hockey or baseball? A sport that lasts three hours with only 19 minutes of actual action or a game that is constantly moving and has everything you would want to watch in a sport. The only thing the NHL lacks is marketability.

chris, do we really have to get into this debate again? it's getting kind of old

Hockey is infinitely more exciting.

You'll shut your hole and you'll enjoy it.

no i don't think i will. Hockey is great, i love a sport where people go backwards.

- cant_think_of_a_witty_nam - 01-30-2004 03:51 PM

At least moving backwards is still motion. As opposed to 2/3s of baseball.

- flyingswoosh - 01-30-2004 05:05 PM

you're right. god forbid you should have to you use your brain while watching a sport. You don't have to think too much when you see two morons with no teeth wrastling on the ice (they call it fighting).

- cant_think_of_a_witty_nam - 01-30-2004 07:00 PM

Yes, I forgot that baseball is such an intellectual sport. The only way it requires thought is if you happen to read a book between pitches.

- T-Monay820 - 01-30-2004 07:11 PM

Baseball is for cupcakes. A real sport is one where people aren't scared of contact, where it is essential to be in some of the best shape of your life, and where you need lighting quick reflexes. Hockey is at least 5 times harder than baseball ever will be, unless they make everyone play blindfolded.

you're insane, well actually i already knew that. i don't see why a something needs to have contact to be a sport. Swimming is a sport and there's no contact in that. Baseball players are in long term endurance shape. they have to play 162 games, also the mental fatigue is huge. Hockey is not harder than baseball. it's been recognized over and over that the hardest thing to do in sports is hit a baseball. there are so many guys in hockey that are big and tough and just hit people.

"the people who think baseball is a dull sport, are people with dull minds"

everybody knows that baseball is the thinking man's game. It's so strategic. Not like there isn't strategy in hockey, but it's not half as much as in baseball.

Also, what about the 2 "half times" (intermission) in hockey. Everybody knows halftime is one of the most boring and stupid things in sports. But hockey has two of them, and they're both longer than the regular football halftime.

I'd say hitting a half-court shot, slipping one past Marty Brodeur, kicking a fifty yard field goal, sinking a hole-in-one, and many other things are much harder than hitting a baseball.

i meant things that are logical. if you're going to use those, i could say turning an unassisted triple play is harder but that's just plain stupid. Those things just crack me up. hitting a half court shot! LOL. I can't believe you actually wrote those things. Now i understand why you like hockey so much.
