Trivia is back!

Question: (5 points)

Who is the Rookie of the Year trophy in the NBA officially named after, and why is this person famous?

- Lucy - 02-10-2004 01:07 PM

The Eddie Gottlieb Trophy. He is one of the founders of the NBA.

And if I may step on my soapbox for a moment, am I the only person who thinks all this corporate sponsorship naming rights stuff is for the birds? I mean, the "got milk? Rookie of the Month" just looks silly...[/steps off soapbox]

Excellent, 5 points!

And I agree, especially on stadiums and baseball parks, it is getting ridiculous.

If you refer to the Randy Ayers thread, the question was raised whether a coach had coached more than one team in a season before. For each instance you can tell me one correctly, you get two points. Or, if you tell me that nobody has done it and that is correct, you get four points. For this question, one point will also be deducted from your score for each incorrect guess.

- cbfranchise3 - 02-24-2004 05:55 PM

No, sorry. Year is no longer necessary.
