Its pretty sad how randolph didnt make the all star team seeing how he fits pretty well on the 3-team all nba - GDawgs88 - 02-12-2004 09:36 PM Good choices, cb. - cbfranchise3 - 02-12-2004 10:42 PM I just like the Nets right now more than the Spurs, Kidd will make a difference, and Martin will frustrate O'Neal come playoff time. Also, any thoughts on Carmelo v. LeBron at preseason? They are so close that I had to split. LeBron is playing slightly better, but Carmelo also has his team in the playoffs. - GDawgs88 - 02-13-2004 01:46 PM cbfranchise3 Wrote:Also, any thoughts on Carmelo v. LeBron at preseason? If they both get in, I'd go with LeBron. - cbfranchise3 - 02-13-2004 04:25 PM GDawgs88 Wrote:Yea, I would agree with that.cbfranchise3 Wrote:Also, any thoughts on Carmelo v. LeBron at preseason? If Hubie Brown isn't coach of the year they need to throw that award away. He has taken the worst team in the league & has them in 6th place in the west. If we were in the east we would be looking at home court for the 1st round. MIP- You have to take a hard look at James Posey. He is the main reason for the turnaround. Last but not least, if Jerry West doesn't get Executive of the year then you can duct tape it to the COY & pitch em in the mighty Mississippi. - tysramm1 - 02-29-2004 11:51 AM CapCityTiger Wrote:first off, you can make a case for porter, bdzelik, or hubie to win COY, they all have done a lot to turnaround their teamscbfranchise3 Wrote:COY: Terry PorterOk, I have to take issue with these, but keep in mind I'm a complete homer. He has taken virtually the same team as last year, (except Posey) that won 28 games, and has them in the playoff hunt. Denver added Anthony, who is incredible, and they are sinking like a stone. Porter meanwhile has the reins of a team that went 42-40 last year and made the playoffs. He has them in 5th place overall in the east. Admirable, but remember they are in the east. Put them in the west and they're not in 5th place. i would give him the nod over bdzelik just because Milwaukee lost some good talent off last years roster. - cbfranchise3 - 02-29-2004 06:39 PM Yea Milwaukee was good last year, but many people predicted them to finish dead last in the league. A lot of people had Memphis in the playoffs. COY is between Bzdelik, Porter, and Sloan. Posey is not the most improved, not even close. There are about 25 guys I would name before him. - MichiganTiger - 03-10-2004 06:05 PM cbfranchise3 Wrote:Yea Milwaukee was good last year, but many people predicted them to finish dead last in the league. I remember everyone saying they were a year away, playey away..... Maybe one said we MIGHT make the playoffs. If Hubie isn't the coach of the year then it's all bullshat. As for Posey, go ahead & name your 25. - cbfranchise3 - 03-10-2004 10:19 PM CapCityTiger Wrote:As for Posey, go ahead & name your 25.Posey's points per game are up about 2, and his assists and rebounds are down from last year. I can't find a link. The point is, I can find many sources that had the Jazz and the Bucks last two in the league, and both are in a position to make the playoffs. That is why Sloan and Porter are my top 2. - tysramm1 - 03-11-2004 07:46 PM cbfranchise3 Wrote:SI had the jazz and bucks as the worst 2 teams in the leagueCapCityTiger Wrote:O.K. show me ONE credible source that had the Grizzlies in the playoffs.I believe an editor on sporting news had Memphis in, that was a main source I looked at. No, I don't think those 25 are more improved than Posey. I don't have the time, or inclination, to sit down & reseach the stats, but I do know that Posey went from being a role player on a dissapointing rockets team to being "THE PLAYER" on a wildly surprising Grizzlies team. P.S. I'm still waiting for a credible source that said the Grizz would make the playoffs. By the way cbfranchise3, how did you like that spanking the other night? Might want to keep that cry-baby stevie home next time. We're glad he was traded too. He would have no place on this team, because that is what it is, a TEAM.
