Love the Dire Straits stuff. This is my favorite and in my opinion the best song they ever did.

PS. This helped cheer me up, kind of bummed, read yesterday that Pink Floyd is now officially broken up.

So, over the last week involving my beach trip:

Audio Adrenaline: Bloom, Don't Censor Me
--A Christian rock band I have seen live at Kings Dominion and got into via my brother quite a few years ago when I wanted to listen to something without all the drama of current music I was listening to. They have a good Christian message without coming off as preachy. They also rock.

Bon Jovi: Slippery When Wet, New Jersey
--Only tow albums I ever got by them--the hits and overall albums are tough to beat for music from that era that still sound good today.

Cinderella: 20th Century Masters
--Picked it at Wal Mart a few years ago in a bargain bin. Lots of good stuff there. I had never gotten a cd/tape from them when they were "current" but I did like their tunes I had heard on MTV.

Creed: Weathered
--I liked it a lot.

Def Leppard: Vault
--A collection of their best hits.

DJ Jazzy jeff * The Fresh Prince: He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper
--First tape I got of theirs. Lots of good tracks abound. Wil Smith does have rap skills!

Easy-E: Easy Duz It
--Old school....lots of great West Coast hip hop from when it started to break

Iron Maiden: Best of the Beast
--A hits disc I had gotten a few years ago--good stuff.

Kid Rock: Devil Without a Cause
--One of hte best records showing of a artist that can be as good at rock as he is at rap. Lots of great hits on this. The only thing I don't like about his more recent material is it seems he has given up on trying to MC.

Lil Jon: Crunk Rock

Limp Bizkit: Gold Cobra
--decent return to form

Limp Bizkit: The Unquestionable Truth
--had some nice rockers on it but a very short EP.

MC Hammer: Platinum (hits)
--Lots of great hammertime hits on this cd. I had respect for him up until he went gangster

Pantera: Far Beyond Driven and Far beyond the Great Southern Cowboy'c Vulgar Hits
--Sometimes, when you are driving early in the morning you need that adrenaline rush LOL. I had and sold of my original copy of FBD. I liked it but wasn't into it. I got that hits disc when they had a Metal Month on VH1 and I got this double cd on sale at Best Buy. Loved all the music. I ended up re-buying FBD when it got re-released as a 20th Anniversary Special Edition. Also the 2nd cd of live stuff couldn't be beat.

P.O.D. Sattelite, Payable on death, and The Fundamental Elements of Southtown
--Great band, I got into them when FEoST broke... been a fan ever since and even went into their back catalog.

T.I.: King
--Lots of good rap jams on this.

Van Halen: 1984
--EPIC CD

Van Halen: A Different Kind of Truth
--A good return to form with DLR as lead man.

Whitesnake: 20th Century Masters
--What can I say, its a pretty good cd overall and aside from their major hits. I was surprised they could actually rock out like they did.

Back in the late 90's I knew Liz Phair's cousins family fairly well. They were actually kind of embarrassed they were related (although it was on paper only as she was adopted). Heard a few interesting stories. But yeah, exile in guyville was a tremendous album that has held up pretty well for some 20 odd years later.
