Ticket Kiosks... - Hilltopper2K - 01-20-2007 10:12 PM

Do we have any of these in Owensboro, Hopkinsville, or Elizabethtown? I think these are a great idea.

My only suggestion would be to maybe add like a flat panel tv to them and show promos for the games and the teams. More of an attention getter. It would be cool if it had a promo say pumping up Bo McCaleb... showing him making some beautiful moves. Even if people never buy a ticket from the kiosk, it might plant the seed of the idea to go to a game.

Also, I would like to see them maybe lower prices on the kiosk tickets for poorly attended games (like over the holidays). That would give us a better atmosphere, build the fanbase, sell more concessions, etc.

They are only in BG and Rockfield that I know of.

That's a great idea H2K. Being an Owensboro native and having lived in Hoptown for awhile, I've always felt that WKU has done a poor job of marketing the Toppers in these areas.

Hoptown is actually considered part of the Murray State service area, but since the widening of 68/80 to four lanes between BG & Hoptown, I foresee more interest in WKU out of the Christian County area.

..And now that the socialist toll road, err, the Natcher Pkwy tolls have been removed, the traffic between O'boro & BG should increase. I've never figured up how much I spent all together, but that $3.00 round trip every week or two while attending WKU was not pleasant.
