Rumor has it that ULM's Coach Rebowe will be the replacement for Coach Bartel

All I can say is that UL must be hard up for an assistant coach to get one from little ULM.

If the guy can get it done, then bring him on. I don't care where he comes from. I care more about where he's going. :ninja:

I am with bigearl, here is part of his bio

[b]Rebowe had to almost start from scratch with the secondary at ULM. Two years ago, was a challenging time for the former Nicholls State assistant, who was learning a new defensive philosophy, while also trying to make personnel decisions at cornerback where only two of his players had ever taken a snap in a college game.

The move to ULM in 2001 ended a six-year run for Rebowe at Nicholls State, where he had been the defensive backs coach from 1995-2000 before deciding to leave the school following the 2000 season.

At Nicholls State, along with serving as defensive backs coach, Rebowe was the special teams coordinator from 1995-98 and recruiting coordinator from 1998-2000. In 1996, Nicholls ranked seventh nationally in pass efficiency defense. He served on the Colonels' coaching staff with current Indian defensive line coach Manny Michel from 1995-97.

That coordinator’s experience served Rebowe well this spring when he was appointed the Indians’ head coach on an interim basis following the resignation of Mike Collins.

“We have such a strong group of assistant coaches on this staff that it was very difficult to decide which one was the best to lead us until a new head coach can be named,

From the way people are talking it sounds like he's a great catch. I don't care what school they come from, just as long as they can coach the kids and make them winners.
