The Jackets know first hand what a 1-AA team can do to your season. So, why in the hell would they schedule the perinnially best team in 1-AA.
1)There is a damn good chance of getting beat, which is what Oregon St. found out in '99 :eek:
2)The game will be a sellout...not because big money Tech alum will flood in to see GSU...but, every halfwitted UGA fan who remembers what Erk did WILL flood in just to see the carnage if Tech got beat.
3)Tech has to write Georgia Southern a big check to have the "privilage" of risking the first two reasons. :bang:
As much as I'd LOVE to see GSU get the chance to take the trip to North Ave., IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN! :crying:

We won in 83, got a tie in 86, should have won in 91, and I believe got the ever-living hell beat out of us in 95.
BTW, in between the first win and the tie in 1986, we beat the snot out of NC State two years in a row. I attended Furman from 83 to 87...we never lost to a I-A team while I was there. Then I graduated, and we lost three in a row to FSU and Clemson (twice).
Should I go back for my masters before we play Clemson this year?
