Kentucky basketball will not leave its recent propensity for turmoil completely behind next season.
After weeks of hoping for a twist of fate, UK Coach Tubby Smith responded to incessant speculation yesterday by saying junior point guard <a href="http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/sports/colleges/university_of_kentucky/3560810.htm" target="_blank">Cliff Hawkins</a> will be academically ineligible for the next fall semester. That will sideline Hawkins, the Cats' only experienced ballhandler, until mid-December.
Smith expressed confidence that Hawkins will regain his eligibility for the second semester, and therefore be able to play again beginning the weekend after final exams next December.

hopefully UK will be alright without his services during the fall/winter season of baskeball..
