Can you get anymore childish and stereotypical with ESPN's new commercial showing an obese "UT fan" holding a pig named Rocky Top and another Ut fan wearing a hospital gown. The only clown on the commercial is Lee Corso who still tricks people into believing he knows a thing about football. Wouldnt he be coaching still if he did. ESPN has a full collection of pathetic former coaches and just outright jackasses they call analysts. What is their point in all of this. Are they ridiculing and trying to embarass UT. Not going to happen. We are an established elite program with a great fan base. Bashing our fans wont affect our team's performance and wont damage the Big Orange Pride. If the Gameday crew has the balls to come to rocky Top this yr just come prepared.

Lee Corso is a complete bonehead and we all know he despises the SEC. He seems to think that we are all cheaters, but I'm sure everyone else is squeaky clean.

I'm not a Vol fan at all, but I am from Nashville, TN. I saw that commercial the other day, and even I was offended by it. They weren't just making fun of UT, but the state of TN, and pretty much the South, in general, in my opinion. They couldn't have picked a better class of person(Corso) to act in that classless ad. Normally, ESPN has some really funny bits, but that one crossed the line, I think.

There are those that will say to, "Lighten up, it's just a commercial". But, the timing of allowing Corso to be in that ad, after his recent remarks, wasn't too funny.

They make fun of everybody, including themselves. I don't put too much stock in what ESPN does, anyway. They do things to get attention, and they are very good at it.

Having said that, they can kiss my *** ...lol

My girlfriend who is a grad student at UT and a die-hard Vol fan (10Man knows this) was telling me last night that everyone in Knoxville is talking about it. She said she hasn't seen it and I described the promo for her. She said "well, ESPN hates us anyway." I said "they hate the SEC in general." I guess that when you are a part of the best conference in college football, jealousy is abound.

Corso speaks. Corso says he only did what ESPN told him to do....sounds like taking the easy way out on the subject. The Gameday bunch must be really steaming after the SEC has torn threw every Big 10 team thrown our way in the recent past...except for Florida's dreadful lost to the Spartans . If you would like to send email to Lee
http://espn.go.com/ncf/s/corso/mail.html
It's about time epsn.com starts its attack on SEC again...flood them with emails, idiots are easily sidetracked.
