UCF Priority Points System for Season Tickets - BlackandGoldNation - 08-17-2006 11:47 AM

Beginning in 2007:

Each consecutive year that Football season tickets were purchased since the 1996 season -- 1 pt per year (regardless of number of tickets)

Each consecutive year that Men's Basketball season tickets were purchased since the 1996-1997 season -- 1 pt per year (regardless of number of tickets)

Current UCF Alumni Association Member -- 5 pts (one-time award per account)

UCF Letterwinner -- 10 pts (one-time award per account)

President's Trust donor -- 50 pts (one-time award per account)

Cumulative giving to UCF Athletics (including 2006) -- 1 pt (per $500)

2007 GKC Annual Contribution 10/1/06 - 3/31/07
Knight ($100) -- 1 pt
Jouster ($250) -- 3 pts
Nobel ($500) -- 5 pts
Valiant ($750) -- 8 pts
Bronze ($1,000) -- 10 pts
Excalibur ($1,750) -- 18 pts
Silver Club ($2,500) -- 25 pts
Gold Club ($5,000) -- 50 pts
Diamond ($10,000) -- 100 pts

The total number of priority points will determine the order of season ticket selection in the new stadium. However, certain sections are reserved for certain donor levels. I'll post more on that later.

Thanks for the update! I guess I am lifting my ban on the alumni membership.... I will renew today..... Thats another 5 points!!!!

On a side note, the number of season tickets you have should count for something...

Also the GKC needs to have a better system of giving out the parking passes. for instance, this year I renewed all the season tickets under my name (6) and donated to the GKC to get a specific parking pass... I asked them if I can double my donation and get a second parking pass in the same lot but was told I can't.... I had to (on the same phone call) give my father's name and address but use my same credit card for the other donation.... So I paid for two but don't get credit for the second donation. Your thoughts?

If you're married, you could split it with the wife/husband.

It's a work in progress. These are good problems to have don't you think? However, A seemingly small, mid-stream, change like that might larger administrative changes on the other side. At least you accomplished your goal.

The way the priority points are set up gives incentive to donate money rather than buying more tickets than you really need. You and I both know people that buy large blocks of tickets to sell to friends, etc. I think they got it right in setting up the system. It's a change and not everyone is going to agree, but we will all adjust.

There are limits to the amount of tickets you can buy in the priority sections that you qualify for based upon your donation. However, you can purchase more tickets in lower priority sections. For example, a Bronze ($1000) member can buy up to 4 tickets in a Bronze section or they can buy up to 12 tickets in the Knight ($100) section. There is a chart that will be available once they mail it out that lays out the maximum tickets policy and which sections require certain donation levels.

Lux Seating in Convocation Center????? - knight-knole - 08-18-2006 04:32 PM

Why did they not add points for Loge/Luxury Seats in the new Convocation center? That's a min of $500 per seat and pushes BBall attendance, which we really need.
