The lines I’m seeing show Bowling Green as 2.5 point favorites. Either way, I’m expecting Tarleton to win.

UWF will probably lose and thats ok First game in FCS and against a ranked opponent. Not going to hold a loss against them. But we need everyone else to win because the conference as a whole takes a hit with every loss. I expect Tarleton and Austin P to cruise to easy wins but everyone else needs to pull out a W no matter how ugly it is. Other than Lamar ( which is odd to say) no one else's opponent is ranked so no excuses for coming out of week 0 with a L.

I stand corrected UT Martin is ranked. Still UCA needs to win that one so we do not have a loss to an OVC team.

The problem is that UWG, EKU, UNA and UCA are in major rebuilds, so is Tarleton, but Tarleton is in a better position and brought in a better over-all class. UCA is still struggling even at the coaching level. UWG brought in decent players (with a good coach), but many of them are from lower ranked conferences and we don't know how that will translate to stiffer competition. So, there are just more unknowns with UWG, EKU, UNA and UCA. UWF will give SIU a good game, but a win would be an upset. I originally said either 6-2 or 5-3, but we could end up 4-4. I am not saying UWG, UNA, EKU or UCA will be bad teams this year. What I am saying is that the UAC is a very tough conference and the stakes are high with little margin for error. I do think week zero will begin to give us some answers.

UWF 20-9 at the half, they have been dominating SIU.
UWG 7-3 at the half, struggling but leading.
AP 21-10 with just a little to halftime, they started slow but have been rolling the last part of the 2nd qtr.
UTM 10-6 over UCA with 8:31 left in the 2nd qtr. (UCA scores, now UCA 13-10 w/ 6:53 left in the 2nd qtr)

Great win Argos, congrats! UWG might be very dissappointing this year. Nice upset win for the Bears as well. AP did what they were suppose to do. 3-1 so far so good. Tarleton should roll to an easy win the others have some tough battles. Not very optimistic about UNA's chances, I think that is most likely a loss. EKU and ACU look like toss up games could go either way.

So far, UCA and UWF were the surprises for me. If we just take care of business tomorrow I like our chances. I agree that EKU is a toss up, but think they can win as well. I think UNA can win, but it will be an uphill battle. The good thing is you guys are at home.

I don't have a lot of confidence, I like Coach Wells, but he has just not been able to get over the hump. He's had long enough. I hope he proves me wrong this season!
