MLS Vancouver Whitecaps relocating? - Fighting Muskie - 08-01-2026 10:10 AM

Something to keep an eye on. They’ve been up for sale for a while and from what I understand the BC Lions of the CFL don’t want to lease to them anymore.

Any thoughts as to where they end up?

MLS will want them in Las Vegas. This will be rather unfortunate for the USL's Las Vegas Lights if this comes to pass. The MLS team can play in Allegiant until a dedicated facility is ready; Allegiant already has a grass surface, but it isn't wide enough for FIFA - the field fits, but it lacks sufficient clearance on the sidelines. This may not be an issue for MLS play, though. Option B would be a renovation of Cashman Field where the USL team currently plays.

Sacramento might also be an option, given the USL's Sacramento Republic are moving forward with a new stadium.

I don't know if MLS would have an interested investor [/b]in Indianapolis, but the city of Indianapolis has been caught flirting with MLS before.

Vegas does not need another franchise. It would be yet another venue full of visitor team fans.
