Playing golf with a ping pong ball - Erictelevision - 04-15-2026 08:15 AM

If you played a round of golf with a ping pong ball, how would it behave differently vs a regular golf ball?

You'd destroy it with the first tee shot. Even if it somehow survived, it would behave very erratically compared to a golf ball.

Charger: I picked ping pong ball because it’s hollow. How would a hollow golf ball behave vs a regular ball?

It would remain intact, but it would travel poorly. The golf ball's strength comes from the core, which makes sure the upward and forward momentum from the golf club is transferred upwards and forwards.

Charger: I don’t golf, so I don’t know the physics of golf. But I figured the lack of mass would mean less carry on shots.

If the ping pong ball survived the tee shot, any sort of headwind would be funny to watch.
