Do the LA Chargers even make sense? - Fighting Muskie - 02-08-2026 10:38 AM All indications are that the residents of greater LA are apathetic towards the Chargers so does it really make sense to keep them there? Would the league be better of moving them to one of these markets? San Diego Salt Lake City Portland San Antonio St Louis I’m particularly intrigued by the idea of bringing them to St Louis — bring back that old St Louis Browns baseball logo of the equestrian statue but in Blue and Gold. There’d be an instant rivalry with the Chiefs and I think the Missouri state government would love to stick it to that franchise for abandoning Arrowhead for the site in Kansas. The old TWA Dome is still there and can be used as a temporary stadium until a new one is built. RE: Do the LA Chargers even make sense? - Erictelevision - 02-08-2026 01:24 PM They should return to San Diego. RE: Do the LA Chargers even make sense? - C2__ - 02-08-2026 08:12 PM With what stadium? Relocate: Chargers to San Diego - this is where they belong Jaguars to St. Louis - actually tightens the AFC South geography if the league stays at 32 If the NFL grows to 36 because 33, 34, and 35 make zero sense... Expansion: 1) San Antonio or Austin (branded as Texas) > AFC 2) Portland > NFC 3) Salt Lake City (branded as Utah) > NFC 4) Toronto > AFC ----------------------- AFC/NFC There's been no talk of disbanding the AFC/NFC format so that stays, for now.
