NFL 25-26 - PirateTreasureNC - 09-05-2025 08:18 PM

Well...

This youtube broadcast tonight isn't too bad, but I was sure surprised Cam Newton made it to their pregame host staff. The picture quality is holding up and Kurt and Rich aren't bad together.

Man... my Panthers suck LOL.

I swear, if they lose, and look bad doing it, to the Dolphins Sunday, I bet the conversation about Bryce and Canales will heat up about both leaving... and our DC, with another sh* performance, will be gone too.

Kansas City Chiefs announce move across state lines to Kansas.

Quote:The Kansas City Chiefs have informed administrative officials that they will announce their move to Kansas today, according to sources who asked not to be named because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

The move was pending the approval of top Kansas lawmakers, who met Monday in Topeka to vote on the proposal. The lawmakers, eight members of Kansas Legislative Coordinating Council, met at 1 p.m. in the Kansas Capitol. Within an hour, they had met in executive session, out of the view of the public, and returned to vote unanimously to approve an incentive package that would allow the Kansas City Chiefs to move to Kansas. The meeting then adjourned without lawmakers sharing any details of the size of the public subsidy or the location of a new stadium.

Here's what this year's playoffs would look like if:

The league expanded the field to 16 teams,

And

If the best records in each conference determined the seeding, regardless if you win the division or not.

AFC

#1 Denver (14-3) vs. #8 Indianapolis (8-9)
#2 New England (14-3) vs. #7 Pittsburgh (10-7)
#3 Jacksonville (13-4) vs. #6 LA Chargers (11-6)
#4 Houston (12-5) vs. #5 Buffalo (12-5)

Indianapolis gets in over Baltimore due to having a better conference record.

Houston hosts Buffalo due to having a better conference record.

NFC

#1 Seattle (14-3) vs. #8 Detroit (9-8)
#2 San Francisco (12-5) vs. #7 Minnesota (9-8)
#3 LA Rams (12-5) vs. #6 Green Bay (9-7-1)
#4 Philadelphia (11-6) vs. #5 Chicago (11-6)

San Francisco is seeded higher than the LA Rams due to having a better conference record.

Philadelphia hosts Chicago due to having a better conference record.

Green Bay is seeded higher than Minnesota and Detroit due to having a better conference record.

The entire NFC South gets left out of the playoffs due to all four teams having a losing record while the entire NFC North gets in due to all four teams having a winning record.

As for how to schedule a 16 team field,

Have a triple header on Saturday and Sunday, and then a double header on Monday night.
