Really excited about the pieces that we've added so far for our 2026 class. I'm sure the staff have a few more tricks up their sleeves, but this is fun to look at:
1) Seth Clarke - Offers from Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, UNC, Boston College, Pitt, Duke, etc
2) Derrick Singletary - Offers from Kentucky, West Virginia, Marshall, App State, etc.
3) James Henderson - Offers from Pitt, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Memphis, Wyoming, etc.
4) Leyonte Chandler - Offers from Texas State, San Diego State, LA Tech, Arkansas St, UNT, UTSA, etc
5) Jacob Swain - Offers from USF, UNLV, SDSU and the Academies
6) Jayden Cuppitt - Offers from UNLV, Boise State, Liberty, Texas State, Colorado State, etc.

247 Sports agrees with you. We don’t have the total numbers of our conference peers, but the average rating for these recruits is fourth after Tulane, Tulsa, and ECU.

The HS my adult son attended now has a BBQ team. If that had been the case when he was there, he probably would have tried to play baseball, basketball and BBQ with a focus on BBQ.

Seems like Davis Penn out of Southlake is pretty high on our list. Has become pretty coveted - has gotten offers from Tulane, Colorado, and Kansas State. Came on a visit back in June. Hoping he waits to make a decision after he sees how we should feed our RBs the ball! Would be a great get

Speaking of Southlake, wonder if fellow Southlake alum Colin Robson would be a useful addition to the football squad? With his great speed and good hands, I could see him contributing as a receiver or defensive back. Might need to put on a few pounds first.

Also, players with offers from "the Academies" looks better when you run a triple option offense. We want to win recruiting battles for players made for the triple option and we can.

Picked up another interior DL (6'2" 280lbs) this morning - Ian Harrell out of Huntsville, AL. Had offers from UT-Martin and and Murray State.

There are a number of high profile high school programs in Texas that still run the Triple Option such as Odesa Permian, Midland, Tascosa, Longview, Tatum, etc.. I assume we will be focusing on these schools in the future or already have been?

What is great about this offense is that we don't have to recruit an option kid at QB. Abell has run this offense with pocket passer recruits.
