That’s what we’ve been fighting for the last century — and we’ll never stop,” President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Alexis McGill Johnson said last week. “We’ll be suing the Trump administration to stop this unlawful attack. See you in court.”

CNN reported:

Planned Parenthood is suing the Trump administration over the “big, beautiful bill” defunding its health care services, arguing the provision will have devastating consequences across the country.

The bill, passed late last week and signed into law by President Donald Trump on July 4, will bar Medicaid users from coverage with a health care provider that also provides abortion services.

While the law does not explicitly mention Planned Parenthood, the nationwide family planning and health care provider is in its crosshairs. The law prohibits federal funding for providers “primarily engaged in family planning services, reproductive health, and related medical care” that also provide abortion.

Planned Parenthood has warned that nearly 200 clinics nationwide – which also provide birth control, STI testing and treatment, and cancer screening – could close as a result of the bill’s one-year ban on funds.

By the way, this isnt a matter of government grants, its a denial directed *at* a specific medical organization prohibiting the US Government to remit Medicaid funds to en toto. For *any* procedure or any medical service.


So, which other doctor practices in specific and by name should be singled out for complete denial of a all Medicaid funds for *all* medical issues in your all's mind? And, for what underlying reason?

If this were a block grant, Id agree with you all. it isnt. The law *specifically* singles out PPH as being barred for being able to receive *any* *Medicaid* funds for *any* medical services it provides. So, I look forward to any answer any of you all can provide to the question posed above in italics, if any of you might.

The prohibition specifically targets Planned Parenthood Federation of America (“PPFA”) and its member healthcare providers in order to punish them for lawful activity, namely advocating for and providing legal abortion access wholly outside
the Medicaid program and without using any federal funds, by purposefully and categorically prohibiting health centers associated with Planned Parenthood from receiving *any* Medicaid reimbursements, even those not associated with abortion.

You all on board with that 'prohibit' specifically *named* medical services from acting to dispense medical services that are specifically covered by Medicaid? Sounds extremely retributive to me.

So if there are a million places providing medical services covered by Medicaid, you are all for passing a law that bars one and only one provider from being paid for medical services by Medicaid?

A simple yes or no will suffice.
