“Don’t Call Me Sweetheart!” Martha MacCallum Obliterates Condescending Teacher Union - CrimsonPhantom - 04-23-2025 08:21 AM

Quote:One of America’s biggest villains received an epic beating on Fox News today when she tried to defend the indefensible and insulted her interviewer.

Randi Weingarten, the President of the American Federation of Teachers, is the chief proponent of trapping everyone in failing public schools and refusing to hold crooked school authority figures accountable.

She was also arguably the loudest advocate for shutting down schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused irreparable harm to the cognitive development of many children across the country.

Weingarten was invited on Fox News’s “The Story with Martha MacCallum” to discuss the ongoing public school failures and pornographic books prevalent throughout school libraries.

Things got heated quickly when MacCallum lit up Weingarten for slamming school choice and for saying we should throw more money at the problem.

“So, if we can find other areas around the country where the proficiency levels are also ABYSMAL and should be embarrassing to every education organization, then we can start making assessments and say it’s because of (school) choice or money,” MacCallum said. “We know that money does not equate to a better outcome.”

MacCallum cited an example from New Jersey that proves her astute point. Upon hearing this, Weingarten lost her patience and attempted to patronize the Fox News anchor.

“Martha, Martha, sweetheart,” she began before an angry MacCallum cut her off.

“Don’t call me sweetheart!” MacCallum fired back.

WATCH:

Weingarten quickly apologized before stammering on about how conservatives have supposedly flip-flopped on education funding before MacCallum interjected with another reality check.

“They (conservatives) wanted to go to different programs; school choice programs and give (money) to parents who want to homeschool their kids,” she replied.

Weingarten continued to stammer and utter nonsense about how public school funding benefits primarily red districts and states, citing Mississippi as an example of where education outcomes have improved. But MacCallum once again bodied her with another inconvenient truth.

“One of the things they have done in Mississippi is to expand (school) choice, MacCallum said. “They’re also doing something really important, which is to expand teacher training because they understand that teachers themselves do not understand the things they are supposed to be teaching.”

We (also) must be clear-eyed about the fact that our students over the past 20 years have had very weakened outcomes,” she added. “We see it at the college level; we see it when kids are pushed through these systems.”

“I was talking to a teacher…she said ‘I can’t hold a kid back who can’t read.'”

Mississippi Miracle

This is part of what Martha was referencing about MS.

Quote:One surprise is that Mississippi, so long the subject of “Thank God for Mississippi” exclamations from rival states struggling to stay out of last place on various measures, has lately reached the middle of the pack with a 245, for 29th place, ahead of much richer [states]. Mississippi’s students are 43% white, 47% black, and only 1% Asian...The Mississippi Miracle is number 1 after adjusting for its unpromising demographics, with comparable Louisiana in second. The Mississippi Department of Education’s press release boasts of Mississippi’s striking improvement since the legislature passed a number of laws in 2013 (modeled on Florida’s 2002 reforms) to get serious about teaching reading and math...

Of all the multitudes of inane and destructive CV-19 policies, ending in person pubic schools while private schools were in session was the worst. It caused inter generational damage and Weingarten spearheaded the effort. I am tempted to call it an evil act.

Easier to control when they are stupid. That IS the goal, of course. Total Control. Starts in the schools. They already have the media.

There's two blondes that work at Fox who I get confused with. I'm not particularly happy with the one who called Arizona in 2020 before all the votes were cast for Biden. Which one was it?

Perino is currently crayfishing (just like the hardest working man in 'murica, Kilmeade) ... Bream is solid...

what's really funny, is funny guy (Failla) that's on right now (radio - that's how I play) is beyond livid with the stupidity...

Money doesnt matter as much as people think. You obviously need SOME money----but at some point---you reach a point of diminishing returns where its largely just a waste to throw more money at the problem (and I'd argue that diminishing returns point within most school districts is hit much earlier than existing collective wisdom would have us believe). If you want the truth---the percentage of parents showing up on parent-teacher night is a MUCH better determinant of a schools educational effectiveness than the "money spent per child" statistic. School choice is the best answer to the problem. Schools that succeed will flourish and those that do not will die on the vine. Teachers and administrators who excel will be in high demand and see higher salaries----and teachers and administrators who suck will be paid accordingly.

It was MacCallum, along with Brett Baier, but she's not the one actually doing the calling, of course. The political director behind the scenes does that.

the little that I've seen from both of those, if you were to let 'em loose, they could/would dominate .... for some reason Waters and Gutfeld have carte blanche ... notice a trend there, eh?

Another liberal lunatic. You could pick that “chick” out a mile away as an arrogant, gay, lib know-it-all.

I bet being called “sweetheart” by that clown really really creeped her out.
