they seem a bit jeckyl and hyde... They have a really good win at memphis, and stayed really close with Bama, but lost to two mediocre teams. We are a mediocre team at this time. Maybe we have a shot. Wouldn't be surprised if they run us off the court like McNeese did last year, or like THEY did in their house...

Wouldn't be too surprised to see us win, either. This is typically around the time AK led teams start to finally play well.

Easy to print sign to bring with you to the game. Can provide a PDF if needed.

I’m hoping this game is what the Drake game was for us last season. Quality opponent during the holiday break… could be a catalyst for the rest of the season (not that this team should’ve needed it).

Or it could be like McNeese from last season lol.

Hopefully the returning players will still have that bad taste in their mouths after that lackluster performance last year at Ark State and want to get revenge at home. And like you said, should hopefully be a catalyst for the rest of the season.

Only 99 lower level seats remain available for Sunday's game.

Would love a good, rowdy crowd there Sunday, as I think students wrapped up finals today, so I’m sure their attendance will be minimal. Well, more minimal than normal.

And most of those lower bowl seats will be empty

I have two lower level seats I'm happy to give someone if they need seats.

Would love to have them if you're still looking for a good home for them. I have a couple friend's kids that I'd love to take.

I can answer a couple of questions you might have in the summary above.
Hodgson was still shuffling the lineups at the Bahamas. I think he found something he likes at Memphis. (It’s always sweet to pull out a win in Memphis.)

UTA played us just like we play. It was a mirror image. Shots started falling for us in the second half and we pulled away for a tough win.

Nelson was injured and wore a boot during the first 5 games. He’s playing now, but unsure if he’s 100%. He’s still not getting many minutes so I think the coach is playing it safe. Marshall has really stepped up in his place.

Are we Jekyl and Hyde? Absolutely. We have tendencies to go through stretches of play where we couldn't hit the ocean from a boat, However, when our shots are falling for an entire game, as they did against Memphis, we become very difficult to even challenge

UTA was interesting. They shot 60 percent from three in the first half, and barely missed a shot. We were under 30 percent from the field in the same time, yet only trailed by 4 points at half because we were killing them on the glass and drew a lot of fouls and made 80 percent of our free throws. 2nd half, our shots start falling. We probably win by double digits had our 90 percent free throw shooter not fouled out with 5 minutes left. His replacement is roughly 50 percent from the line, and UTA started fouling early when he got the ball. They hit a couple 30 footers in the final minute to make the game closer than it was.

Though I will argue this point: Hofstra is 10-2 with wins over UMass and Seaton Hall. They aren't going to be a mediocre team this season. Many expect them to win their conference. NET rankings are so hard to take seriously at the mid major level when none of the power conference teams will play mid majors who run their league. Its why the 12/5 upset in the NCAA Tournament is so common.

Great start. The 13 is working and we are actually shooting it well.

RE: Arkansas State Red Wolves - mrchance33 - 12-15-2024 06:36 PM

Take a shot every time they say Nate Oats on the broadcast.

RE: Arkansas State Red Wolves - Frank Grimes - 12-15-2024 06:37 PM

Kinda pisses me off, cause this is what I’ve been expecting since game 1. But glad to see this against a quality opponent.

RE: Arkansas State Red Wolves - BlazintheAtl1 - 12-15-2024 07:07 PM

Is Gordon still around?

RE: Arkansas State Red Wolves - LairDweller - 12-15-2024 07:35 PM

So predictable

RE: Arkansas State Red Wolves - Frank Grimes - 12-15-2024 07:39 PM

Boy this team is frustrating
