RE: Minneapolis Set To Vote YES To Dismantle the Police - ETSUfan1 - 06-06-2020 08:05 PM Just when I think all of this is hurting Trump's reelection bid, the far left crazies come out and loudly scream to DEFUND THE POLICE! Left leaders will never denounce it because they are scared of the crazies too.....and.....Trump wins again. Minneapolis Set To Vote YES To Dismantle the Police - EverRespect - 06-06-2020 08:33 PM Defund the police sounds like something I would have said to my friends at 16 years old around a bonfire after taking a bong hit. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk RE: Minneapolis Set To Vote YES To Dismantle the Police - olliebaba - 06-06-2020 09:37 PM I have to give this teenage mayor props for sticking up for his beliefs in the midst of this madness. People who don't want police are the same people that want free stuff, i.e., from vandalizing stores in the absence of police. I don't know but it seems Black leaders aren't too bright. Or perhaps they are brighter than we think because that's part of their agenda. They are terrorists and want free rein. I wonder when common sense will prevail. He had to know he could be asked if he supported dismantling the police. And he had to know that the crowd would turn on him. That walk of shame was one of the funniest things I have seen in awhile. RE: Minneapolis Set To Vote YES To Dismantle the Police - solohawks - 06-06-2020 10:28 PM You dont agree with me 100% so I cannot dialogue with you as you are evil. That's not sustainable RE: Minneapolis Set To Vote YES To Dismantle the Police - pkptigers07 - 06-06-2020 11:12 PM I’m not against the general idea of ramping up social programs in cities that have a need and have police forces stretched thin. Caught a quote somewhere the other day where a police chief (Louisville maybe?) talked about the number things cops are called in for that have nothing to do with their job. Getting called in for a barking dog or noisy neighbor not only takes cops away from their public safety mission, it also makes the myriad of situations they face so broad that it’s hard to provide effective training. Should the police really be the first line of defense against a drunkard stumbling the streets or someone acting erratic in a store? Or should medical personnel be called in first with police standing by to step in if things get dangerous? I could get behind reforms that provide targeted social spending to solve some of these issues if I actually believed in the local government to run good intervention programs. In theory, the police mission could get back to solely public safety and their budgets could be shrunk over time or at least the rate of growth could slow. I can’t see the usefulness of front end police budget cuts to fund feel good programs that will be mismanaged boondoggles. I can barely believe it's real. That poor cuck is in so far over his head I almost feel bad for him taking that walk of shame at the end. But between his crocodile tears at the funeral and his willingness, nay eagerness to humiliate himself to gain the mob's approval, I just can't. They demanded one final crazy step he just couldn't give them. Then again, you get what you vote for and the crazies putting him through the wringer were just a tiny percentage of the ones who actually voted for him. RE: Minneapolis Set To Vote YES To Dismantle the Police - Bearhawkeye - 06-07-2020 12:37 AM If this is true and it continues, they won't have to defund the police. There won't be any police left to defund. And I can't say I blame them, no cop takes the job to be treated and scapegoated like this. Would you send social workers to get killed? Would you send a medical person to go up to an erratic, perhaps mass murderer in the store? In small towns they deal with barking dogs and noise. In big cities, they don't even deal with burglaries. They write them up and file them. My uncle is a retired police officer. Talking to him the other day he said. "If they want to send social workers let them. It'll be an interesting outcome." In the past he has said to me: "Depends on which way the badge is pointed." in regards to what kind of cop people can be. RE: Minneapolis Set To Vote YES To Dismantle the Police - solohawks - 06-07-2020 02:27 PM When social workers remove children from dangerous situations they take police. How would it work if their wasnt a cop their and the parent refused to cooperate? We need John Belushi to play the role model for Samurai Social Workers. That would clean some stuff up. If not it might be taken over by the Taliban in Minneapolis. |
