Hey, isn't Fo a Democrat? If he's okay with the Tax Plan why aren't the rest of you Liberals?

Take note to not trust anything you say that you preface with, "if memory serves me correctly."

In his defense...I am a classical Liberal. (socially liberal/fiscally conservative). There are issues that I see eye to eye with Democrats on and he may have seen me post something to that effect.

You are now a republican

Im not sure how fiscally conservative the GOP has been in recent decades. Both gangs have no problem spending like drunken sailors in port. Only difference I see is what they choose to spend the money on. The government I want would be so tiny that both gangs would disapprove.

Borrowed from Social Security? Everyone knows it's a pay as you go program. If more is payed in than is needed, we have two choices. We can let the politicians spend it, or we can give it back to the contributors. I know what my choice is. What's yours? Because it certainly doesn't go into any lock-box that's for sure.

Its a game to keep the scoring of the deficit impact down below their agreed point so they can avoid the filibuster. And the scoring of the deficit impact is a game that doesn't reflect the real world. Its static.

So the only way taxes go up on the 53% is if Democrats control Congress or the presidency. If Republicans do, they will extend it another 10 years or make it permanent.

All of this is DC games and nonsense.

democrats' "but 2027!" argument shows how screwed they are on this issue. President Trump may have just sealed his reelection.

Child please!! You gave up that title when you started promoting and advocating more and more taxes via your precious consumption tax/VAT. You're a tax-and-spend liberal now. Own it.

Think projections for the next 10 years are like 10 trillion more or something along the lines of continuing as we have been going. The 1 trillion number with the tax cuts is in addition to the already projected numbers.

So is Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) the last deficit hawk left in congress?

http://thehill.com/opinion/finance/365502-there-are-zero-excuses-to-stand-against-the-trump-tax-cuts

"Love Donald Trump or hate him, what is undeniable one year into his presidency is the new economic optimism of workers, investors, small business owners and major CEOs. An economy that was growing at 1.6 percent when he entered office and never achieved a 3 percent growth rate in the previous decade is now already up to near 3.5 percent growth.
And that’s without the Trump tax cut. I’m on record at CNN for predicting 3.5 percent and possibly 4 percent growth next year, which we haven’t seen in at least 15 years. Barack Obama kept predicting 4 percent growth year after year and he never came close. Maybe a change in strategy on regulation, taxes, energy policy and other strategic shifts makes sense after a decade of malaise...."
