RE: Franken to resign Thursday - bullet - 12-07-2017 10:32 AM From the article: "If any Hill staff are watching us tonight, reach out and let us know. Sexual abuse is not the only kind of abuse staffers put up with on Capitol Hill. Just because you are female and claim to be a feminist, doesn't mean you don't throw staplers at women who work for you...." RE: Franken to resign Thursday - Redwingtom - 12-07-2017 10:35 AM If you think that losing one senator, when coupled with all the trump hires and appointments, is actually resulting in less water in the swamp, you're either ignorant or just not paying attention. RE: Franken to resign Thursday - Fitbud - 12-07-2017 10:51 AM So let me get this straight. The Democratic politicians who were accused of abuse are stepping down but the one who is accused of hitting on children is still running? My public reputation is hanging in the balance on your decision. You are a lame duck. For the sake of our remnant party, step aside dirtbag." This kind of behavior belongs nowhere near the highest political offices in the land. Trump included. He's caught in the feeding frenzy to purge any and all that have engaged in anything against a woman and I don't see where the sharks considering the levels of "crimes against women". They are expediently treating any transgression as all the same, but they aren't. RE: Franken to resign Thursday - TechRocks - 12-07-2017 11:19 AM Franken should give the middle finger to his fellow democrats and not resign. If the people don't want him in office, they can vote him out the next time he runs....if he decided to run again. RE: Franken to resign Thursday - Paul M - 12-07-2017 11:23 AM Same for me, I don't like the ass and would like to see him voted out but if they vote him in, I ain't seen anything for him to resign for. It appears the liberal Sexual Revolution has led to the liberal Sexual Cultural Revolution and it's associated purges. Here's my sad face.

Here's my concern though with that line of thought - no one new about his sexual assaults when they voted him into office, and there is no way that he would have been elected if these allegations and evidence had been presented during the election. He only "won" by 312 votes. RE: Franken to resign Thursday - VA49er - 12-07-2017 11:36 AM (12-07-2017 10:53 AM)ECUGrad07 Wrote:(12-07-2017 10:51 AM)Fitbud Wrote: So let me get this straight. Except we can't know that. Trump got elected even though he'd said vulgar things about wemmins (and had 100% of the MSM against him) so it's quite possible he'd have been elected anyway. Then again, that election was very close, was it not?
