Wow!! Perhaps they should try winning a conference title first.....something their in-state brethern have done!!
I dislike Arkansas as much as the next guy, but are you seriously comparing a Sun Belt championship to an SEC Championship?

That's a pretty common comparison in Arkansas. Its been pointed out to Arkansas fans regularly that ASU, UCA, and UAPB have won league titles in the last 5 years. Arkansas hasn't won one in 25 years.
If they agreed to play other in state schools, this concept would not exist.

Your primary goal in college sports is to win your conference championship. We are not in control of what conference we are in. We also do not have hundreds of millions of dollars falling from the sky. We take what we have and compete in the conference we are in...are competitive....and do win titles.
Our players have rings. You can say what you want about them but they ARE rings. You can say what you want about conferences...but our players ARE conference champions and accomplished their primary goal.
It has nothing to do with the SEC Championship or comparing it with ANYTHING since NOBODY in the discussion has EVER won one.

Considering that they refuse to play ASU and then have the audacity to throw this poster out then yea, I will take a shot at them. Right now, they are bottom of the barrel in the SEC West. They shouldn't be skerred....play the Red Wolves.

Considering their last conference championship was 24 years ago in the old SWC, yeah, they don't have much to crow about.

There isn't a lot of realism in that fan base.

A guy called into a radio show today and told the hosts that the reason the team was losing was because they were listening to their IPOD's on the sideline during the game. He was convinced that the IPOD's were all set to play radio broadcasts from other college football games.
It was really amusing.

Sports radio in Arkansas is hilarious, fans don't ever say squat about winning the conference. All they want is a coach that can win the national title. That is difficult feat. Even with CFP you have to be in top 4 at the end of the regular season, something they've not done in several decades.

They are having attendance issues themselves, fans are not interested in watching a 3 win team, so the logical conclusion was to make everyone think they are an NFL team?
Well, given their payroll, I suspect they would qualify to be JUST under the cap...

If Bobby didn't fall of his motorcycle my guess is the little picture posted here would be far more true than it is.

It says, "Experience being #1 for an entire state". What about those of us that have to deal with being in a state with the #1 for the entire country, 4 years running.
And even Bama and the Barn don't pull this kind of stunt.

living in a backwards hillbilly commonwealth and being barraged by uk fans is no treat.
but we do have the university of louieville and their success shuts up some of the big boo fans. some of them.
we did beat them 2 years in a row in football and are a respectable 2-4 against them in hoops and that CAN be used to try to keep their idiot yahoos in check.
i used to believe the uk hillbillyism was unrivaled. but after looking at the hillbilly dynamics of arkansas i realize that uk and our associated pain isn't on the level the asu folks endure.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Arkansas is the only program in the state to have ever won a national title in football.

Arkansas State is the only school in the state to have ever won a national title in football - 1970 College Division.
The other school claims some mythical opinion title that Alabama also claims.

Depends on who you ask. If you ask the AP. No.
Actually, their greatest most revered, talked about, and reminisced about game is a loss.

Youre right. I just had to look it up.
For some reason I thought they claimed they won it in the 70s.

Because you guys are moaning about your sister school in conference and system. They are moaning about a big bad SEC school.

The BIG SHOOTOUT. 1969. Richard Nixon was there. Last major all-white southern football game. They talk about it, write books about it, do documentaries, hold anniversaries, write articles, reminisce about it, etc. Biggest game they were ever part of. They expect Longhorn fans to hold it in the same absolute reverence that they do.
And it was a loss.
I've never understood glorifying a loss as the most important moment in your program's history. Maybe its just me.
