Unofficial Lol Marygrove (x-hibition) game thread
We can always talk about men's hoops.

Everyone healthy and ready to go?

Who is attending? (looks like there won't be an radio or webcast).

Let's not forget that the last time EMU played Marygrove, we didn't even win by double digits...

Last time we played them was 2011, when we beat them 85-51.

This should be a laugher. Great to have basketball back!

Maybe it was two times ago.
I think it was the last time we played them when Ramsey was the coach.
This game should be a strong win for EMU.

Can we start an 'online petition' for Hoopster to attend and report back?

I've known Hoopster for say a dozen years and he can watch a game and see twice as much as typical fan.

Hoopster knows hoops. 03-idea

Guess we are going to try and beat Marygrove with size.

Other than Talley, it is a big lineup for virtually any conference.

If Talley is the missing piece, this game could get ugly.

RE: Unofficial Lol Marygrove (x-hibition) game thread
Hmm, not sure how I feel about Harrison starting at the two, but that is a big lineup. Hopefully Ward and Talley can shoot (by most reports, they can), so Bryant can play more of a "big man" game. Don't want to see him forcing many threes this year.

Also, with seeing that probable starter list, the rotation becomes more interesting. Will Murphy really play 6 guards? One of Sims, Lee, Combs, and Ross will probably not make the rotation. Sims is too good of a defender to sit, so I'd expect him to be the first off the bench. Supposedly Combs can really shoot it, and Lee is the most talented of the bunch, so I sadly think it will be Ross.

It'll be something to follow. I still think of Harrison more as a front court player though.

I saw a game or two (?) where Harrison started at the two and he wasn't a ball handler.

That said, IF Talley IS the ball handler some think, then we don't need to have the two pretend he is another primary ball handler.

As some of us said (many times) last year, the improvement in this year's team will come most importantly at PG.

Not sure. I don't think exhibitions have been available in years past, though.

It's a given that the game is going to get ugly. If it is not ugly, we are in for a long, long season.

If a player can have a 'career game' in an x-hibition game, Talley is having one tonight early on. Putting up some big numbers in a short time frame.
