I've always gotten free tickets to Diablos games because I am a teacher. I expect the same treatment from the Chihuahuas.
This kind of baseball is all about promotions. They will give the students free tickets, or free outings so I will be able to see a few games for free a year.

A perfect world for a freeloader.
"A penny saved is a penny earned"
Then save your pennies. Because 500 of them will not get you into the games

You mean five bucks isn't going to get El Pasoans into the game?
Ouch. I guess this team isn't going to succeed afterall.

They could have charged five bucks, had they only have built plastic structures... If only mountain star, and the fountains would have been ahead of their times... BUT... I don't know how good they would do against the atomic bombs.

They will not be successful with you.
And then you act like such a victim.
Victim? How so. I'm the one who likes the name and is going to have great time whenever I get the opportunity to go.
You make foolish statements to entice others to enter into stupid debates..... Then you're a victim of everyone's "hate".
You like the name because you know it is not a popular one. Most folks are warming up to it, and when enough people like it, you will swing the other way (a common theme for you).
You had said you would not go before, and I'm too lazy to pull up the post (unless you insist on not having taken that stance). And now, you are going to go.
I hope more crazies are switching sides as you have. Because like you, they would be willing to enjoy the tax-paid venue, even though they (like you) opposed it.

You are 100% wrong. Even before the name was known, I came on this forum and told everyone that I was going to vote for the Chihuahuas. How was I supposed to know before hand that everyone was going to hate it.
I also said repeatedly that I would still support the team. My beef has always been and will remain the way the city went about building the stadium.
I have never been against the triple A team even though I think their success and the impact to the city IMHO is overrated.
bs, everyone hated 2 of the names when they were announced and everyone knew it, but of course all you can do is try to stir the pot so that is why you wanted the name chihuahuas.

Really? Which 3 names did everyone not hate?
sun dogs, desert gators and a distant 3rd was buckaroos. Everyone hated chihuahuas and aardvarks. On the EP times poll, the day the possible team names were announced, aardvarks and chihuahuas garnered 3% of the total votes and it was all you ankle biters who were in the minority over the stadium who were voting for it... So don't bring that bs up in here

I seem to recall that El Paso Times Polls where bogus when I used them to support my arguement.
Fitbud, every poll you linked was against you at the end of the day. They absolutely did not support your argument whatsoever, on the contrary, they were always against your position.

And yet the El Paso baseball team is still called the chihuahuas

People are liking the name now, so you better start hating it.
The thing is, you weren't right, you were just trying to be a douche about it. When they announced chihuahuas, fitbud be like... finally, they'll fail.

I think you spend way too much time about what I write. Don't try to read too much into my posts. You might hurt yourself.
There is no hidden agenda in what I write. It's pretty straight forward.
1. I thought the location of the stadium was a terrible idea.
2. I think Triple A baseball will only be mildly popular.
3. I have always thought the chihuahuas was the best of the 5 names not because everyone would hate it but because El Paso needs to embrace our Mexican roots.
If there is anything that has held El Paso back IMHO, it is it's attempt to be like other cities. El Paso is a uuniquely Mexican city in an American country.
The sooner El Paso markets itself that way, the sooner we will reap the benefits of tourism.
