BG Game Thread
Had to watch game on watchespn app because the wife and I had our first baby yesterday afternoon.

Had a new rocket fan on my lap for most of the game.

RE: BG Game Thread
Final stats are out.

D had 6 sacks and 12 TFL! Sylvestre with 12 tackles, 3 sacks, 3.5 TFL by himself.

That was the good. Here's the bad:

On 3rd and >5, BG had plays of 19, 18, 12, 19, 15, 30. Only 3 plays did they not do damage on 3rd and long. Really need to get that fixed.

Congrats, ad! I take it the good looks come from the wife's side? Seriously, enjoy every second and good job starting her off young as a Rocket fan!

That was fun...had to watch most of the game on my phone since it was my turn to take my daughter to cheerleading. Got home in time to settle in for the 4th quarter...my kids may be scarred for life and I'm sure I may get a call from their principle wondering where my kids learned such bad language? Wow...talk about up and down emotions. I thought we blew the game...then score on 4th down. Thankfully Joplin had grease on his gloves or I'd be on the skyway bridge preparing to jump. Go Rockets! 4 in a row feels great.

Congrats, Aaron. With that eye and that arm I think he's going to be a QB.

I may not be in love with our team this season, but wins are wins.
I don't think we are a great team by any stretch...but I would still appreciate a respectable record and enjoy a berth in the MACC if possible.

RE: BG Game Thread
In the end, the Rockets had to quit playing "not to lose" and pull out the stops to start "playing to win". Hopefully the Rocket players and coaches turned an important corner with the experience gained thru this improbable come back win.

IMO This is really the first game in a long time where we saw glimpses of the same TO who showed such great promise during his sophomore year and Reedy also had one of his better games as a receiver in recent memory (although it may not show up in the stats that way).

I also appreciated the fact that the D turned up the heat on BG during their last drive rather than play a soft prevent defense that usually only prevents your side from winning. I would have thought they made the right decision to blitz even if Joplin had burned them by making a catch that he should have made.

The way this game was playing out it was bound to be a "woulda, coulda, shouda" game for which ever side that came up short and I suspect that the BG faithful are understandably pretty distraught at the moment, but better them than us.

Seriously, though--gotta make a change at offensive coordinator--we let Navy back in the game & BG both because of some significant offensive inefficiency in the second half...

+1

We seem to be more inefficient without Flu. Wonder why? Didn't have Flu (mostly), Voss, Rosenbauer?, Madison? and still beat BG at their place. How good are they? I think they should be thrilled to be in the East.

I would be shocked if Flu played next week. Extra days to get healthy would be great for him. Rosenblum will be ready next week, from what I hear, will of had two weeks to heal up.

Agree it would be crazy to play Flu when we can trot out the second best RB in the league and let Flu heal up. As for Rosenshien I'm eager to see him back. I like the options he gives us out of the backfield, blocking, occasionally running and showing he can catch. When we get close to the goalline he's a handy guy to have around.

Thanks folks!

We have rocket gear ready for her but it's in a little larger sizes for when she starts attending games and can fit in it a little longer!!

And yeah, she gets the looks from the wife. Heck, the baby has more hair than I do!

Made the day perfect with the rocket win over BG. Won't forget this one!

Yea, we need Flu 100% healthy, Rosenblah is 255 lbs of lead blocker.
