EDIT: Mexico makes World Cup
Mexico trailing 2-1, Panama leading 2-1. If these scores hold, Mexico misses the World Cup.

And another USA goal to end it. Mexico goes to the playoff against New Zealand.

Mexico builds statues of Zusi and Johannson. Johnny Funcakes has a good night remembering his goal to knock Costa Rica out of the World Cup in 2009 and New Zealand puts a hit out on Klinsi.

Ha! I heard some Latino announcer's head rolled 'cause he was calling out Mexico on the air as a bunch of 'ingratos' for not properly recognizing that the U.S. bailed them out. There's not a lot of love loss between the two.

Ironically, Mexico is known as "El Tri" (color), and Ecuador as "La Tri" (color).

I thought about changing the thread title after Mexico survived the hexagonal. But then i realized, they still have to beat New Zealand. And that is far from a sure thing.

I hope the Kiwis do the Haka before the game just to get Guardado and Marquez red carded before the game.

Looks like Mexico finally got it together, just in time. 5-1 win over New Zealand. They should cruise into the World Cup now.

RE: EDIT: Mexico makes World Cup
I have no clue. I have no plans to go so I have not researched it.

I am really mad at myself for not going to one of the 1994 matches while it was here. It looks like we may not host another World Cup finals in my lifetime. I am just not a big enough fan to want to travel overseas to watch it.

RE: EDIT: Mexico makes World Cup
I wouldn't call beating New Zealand getting it together, they are going to be lucky to get out of the knockout round.

Heck, the USA might struggle too
