I really enjoyed watching the game last night and I hope the App coaching staff was also watching. The size and speed of the OL and DL's of both teams shows the work App has to do in order to compete in the SB. Pretty big and powerful RB's on both teams also. Congrats to the Cajuns on a great second half and victory.

I do remember this and it was stated he was no where as good as the WKU sunday in the making LB. I wonder if they still feel the same way
I said in an earlier post Jackson and Boyd should have been taking notes from #34 from the cajuns....He had the game of his life, I am sure will never have a game like that again either....Is he normally that much of a beast every game? Our defensive is jekly and hyde....WKU fans have seen this story before, we look like the same team on defense from last season when the second half started, all of the sudden we cannot tackle...Not sure why we cannot tackle with 2 really good LB's but we cannot....I am glad we are done with Tues. night games and hopefully no more nationally week night games at home, we are 0 and 2 and both were not even close games....Hard to watch considering WKU fans have seen this rodeo before over and over again...Same story different day, good thing next game is Homecoming as we should have a descent crowd for first half but thankfully after that just one more home game and their will be no on there to see that one vs. Ark. St..Most WKU fans will be ready for basketball....
Yes...He is 2nd in the Belt in tackles to Boyd from WKU....He is solid...
Well it might be the game of his life, but on a regular basis he intercepts passes, creates fumbles, and is always around the ball. I was in no way surprised by his play.

Not at all surprised here. The kid is a force on the field and made his presence felt even among better levels of competition. It was clear to see that he was special even before this game, and, arguably, over any linebackers in the SBC.

On one play, a UL player followed one of our players for five yeards towards our sideline jawing until the referee grabbed him and turned him around. Give it up! You won the game. Be happy instead of stirring up crap.
All three players had good games and for the most part backed up the hype and havr no reason to eat humble pie.

Should be a great matchup next week.
Our game against WKU last year was a lot like your game tonight. We outplayed WKU for the entire first half, but struggled in the red zone and were only up 13-0 as our big lead. We made some mistakes early in the 2nd half to let them back in it, and they took control from there.
We've all played games like WKU did tonight.
Yes true, but don't take anything away from what UL did in the second half. We completely dominated the line of scrimmage and it had nothing to do with the fluky first half on both sides of the ball. The better team won tonight.
I'm not, I'm just pointing out that things might have gone very differently had WKU punched that score in to go up 17-0. Completely changed the game.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Famous words of LOSERS......The WKU fans got a full dose of BP thinking with his well we all know thinking. Tried for the kill shot, and it blew up on him.
Now of course people will blame the players, yet we know it is the coach who should know his players strengths, and weaknesses. BP failed to take those weaknesses into considerations.
In addition one last shout at the WKU fans. It is not always the Jims, and Joes, but the guy who is guiding the Jims, and Joes.
Trash talking kings of the internet world are losers of the real world.
If Hud is such a genius how did his team get manhandled the first half? I am not taking anything from him for he is a great coach, but at some point in time a player has to make a play. Throwing dumb passes is on the player. Not holding on to the ball is on the player. i am not defending BP nor throwing the players under the bus, but your insistence on wanting to blast BP every chance you get causes you to say stupid stuff.
What is the saying that is used for football players who overcelebrate? "Act like you have been there before."
Of course, if cheering your team to victory last night was the greatest achievement in your life, by all means celebrate.

Perhaps Jaques should spend some time reading all the trash the Topper fans spread for the past week. Now I gotta say, that is expected but when your chest pounding is exposed for bravado it is time to eat humble pie.
Players? No doubt Andrew Jackson, and Andrews the running back were talking trash on the field. So sure they are the targets of opposing fans. Did the Cajuns do similar things? Yea, most likely and when you win it carries a little more gravitas.

I get frustrated with people thinking that in order to root for (insert my team"s name here) that I have to disparage or insult every player, coach and fan of (insert my opponent's name here).
Let's just enjoy the wins, pout a little about the losses and get on with our lives!

I read the trash talk, but other than saying that Jackson, Anderson and Boyd were good players did not participate. The fact that a message board poster brags does not mean a player should eat humble pie.
And I do not understand how the fact that WKU lost means Andrews should be called out for supposedly talking trash. He performed in his usual manner and just because his team lost does not mean that he was wrong for acting the same way most players on every team behave.
According to your thought process, no player should ever talk trash, because we won't know until the game is over, who is allowed.
I.e., the walk-on linemen on the sidelines for UL who has not and never will see the field can trash talk, but the WKU runner who gained over 200 APYs can't because his team lost.
now I understand how that works.

WKU fans were not the only ones beating their chests. Ul fans were doing the same but fortunately your team backed up your talk. However, I personally would not feel the need to gloat and rub your nose in it for several reasons.
1. It is immature and I choose to not behave like a child.
2. Today's winner could be tomorrow's loser so I choose to treat others the way that I would like to be treated in the same situation.
3. It is a game, a game that I follow seriously, but I do not define my self-worth and the quality of my life based upon the record of the sports teams that I follow. There are more important things in my life. I would hope that there were in yours as well.

I was just as worked up as you were during the game, so at the lowest point during the game (WKU 10 - UL 0), I saw a few WKU jawing off and being aggressive. Nothing is wrong with that, it's a part of football and any contact sport.
I was just glad that we were running them over at the end of the game. Bringing it straight to the two demi-god linebackers that are the best in the Sun Belt.

I agree that jawing is part of the game which is why I did not feel that your calling out of the WKU players for what you just said was part of the game was warranted.
Secondly, going on a message board and gloating is immature, period.
Your team earned you the right to do so, however, that doesn't make it right. And you can gloat without insulting players and coaches.

I was here. I read but did not post because I am not really into trash talking. Plus, I hate the taste of crow so would not say anything that I was not 100% sure my team could back up.
I still think Andrews is the best RB in the SBC, but that is no disrespect to Harris and others.
And I agree with you that the majority of the trash-talking WKU fans are silent (of course one has been banned, so that is forced silence). and the majority of Cajun fans have been gracious for the most part.
I am in the minority of WKU fans who did not talk trash and was addressing the minority of Cajun fans who were not gracious.
I guess I just hate eating someone else's crow.
I am finished preaching. Take care Cajuns.
