I think this series will turn into a good one. This thread is still more active then the ULM one for the game this week.

This will be a great rivalry and series. Next year in San Marcos there will be at least 1,000 Cajun fans attending....maybe even more. Our largest alumni base outside of Louisiana is in Houston, TX.....over 7,000 alums. They always turn out in big numbers when the Cajuns play either Rice or Houston in Houston. The Houston Alum Chapter will pub this game up.....gonna talk to a few folks next week about it....cannot start too soon...

Goodyear or Firestone can sponsor the games, and call it the LaTex bowl.

CatMom's signature is the schedule of the Bobcats with logos instead of names. Each week, she updates the "schedule" with a "W" or "L" over the image of the team we just played.
Last week after Wyoming (or two weeks ago... whatever), I "demanded" CatMom update her signature. This week, 90 did the same.
I think 90 was joking with CatMom. At least that's how I took it.
And I made you both wait
I know he's joking.
And I've only been doing this for about 5 yrs.
Get your housekeeping taken care of early and put a W on the ULM game. Pretty sure you won't have to correct it.
I actually have a day job (ok, sometimes I close too) and my jerk mgr scheduled me to work this Saturday even though I put in for the game days off months ago. I haven't had an actual weekend off since the beginning of August but a tech, under me (don't get smart assed about that), was off two weekends ago and he's off again this weekend.
I want to go but won't get off work until 4. Home at 4:30. I'd have to change and then drive an hour to the game. Then back home late and be at work Sunday AM.
Call me really pissed.

If you want PM me. I can make a few calls to Austin and make that manager disappear!

If your Houston Alumni know anything about this area, they will be coming in droves for a weekend.
I expect two things next year:
1. A GREAT turnout
2. A better showing by my bobcats (maybe not a win, but I want the game to at least be competitive)

RE: Texas State @ Louisiana
The Cajuns usually travel well. They also do well in Houston since so many Cajuns end up in the energy sector.
