I have said for 3 years that we have a BCS band that plays when our Div III goes to the locker room. Chester Phillips has done an astounding job.

Yes he has... Y'all may have a top 3 band in our conference.

I was in WKUs band in late 90's and early 2000's and my high school band was better, haha....I think they have grown a little and have gotten a little better, but still seems to be a work in progress....

I would prefer to remember the good old days when the Sound of Today was the best band around

Our band is the only reason why any Georgia State fan has kept their sanity. I'm excited to hear the Sound of the South in two weeks. I hope they are still making the trip to Atlanta. Game day atmosphere is so much better when the opposing team's band makes the trip... especially if they are top-notch like Troy's.

RE: Band thread
UTA has maintained their marching band to this day. The word on campus is they may be the only marching band in the country without a football team. I don't know if that is true or not, but I know of no other. This is last year's show.

EDIT:You also get a good look at UTA's football and track and field stadium, Maverick Stadium, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maverick_Stadium

Who cares? They do a fine job of screwing with opposing players in between playing.

We were talking about band performances not heckling players, you are clueless, you trying to derail another thread? Everyone is tired of your act...

That's what the band is there for. Heckling and banging drums while opposing players and coaches try to talk to each other. That's why athletics pays the band stipend.
